I made a post here about having my first steemit presentation, well it did go down and it was really an awesome moment. I had been invited by @magdnrobinson to come and speak to Steemit newbies at a meetup called meetup5 so as to enlighten them on how the steemit platform works.

About The Event

The meetup5 is an initiative instituted by @vheobong, the aim of this initiative in her own words is;

The Mitup5 is a project birthed from the need to be able to meet up to the rising demand of newbies.

The road map for this initiative as outlined by @vheobong states that;

Mitup5 : This project is simple. From this weekend till the next 5 weeks, I'll be having a meetup with 5 newbies to teach them the basics of steemit, feed them with the right information and help them grow after which they are supposed to have their own meet up with 5 newbies to do same and the chain goes on and on.

So it was in the tradition of keeping up with the vision of this project that @magdnrobison had organised his own mitup5 event..

How The Event Went Down

This particular mitup5 was hosted by @magdnrobinson with help from @gidionline and @egetex, the event from the road map was tobhave just 5 newbies in attendance but a total of seven were around just to learn about what the steem blockchain has to offer.

I was anchored the training session where i talked brifely about the following;

• Basics of crytocurrency and the blockchain technology.
  -The steem blockchain

• The core values of steemit

• Ways to succed on steemit

• Basic explanation of steem, steem power, steem dollar, voting power, reputation score etc.

• Use of the esteem app, discord app, steemit.chat

• explanation of what @utopian-io represents.
  It was indeed a wonder session as alot of knowledge was gained and the steem blockchain is going viral.
  
  

I look forward to being part of more events like this that will help me aid newbies learn more about steemit.
