So nice to have Streemian working as it’s supposed to again! I understand that this solution will be phased out over time, as it’s not as reliable as we need it to be. When it fails – or when it’s not being used by MAW anymore – I’ll do my upvotes manually. I usually give 100% VP manual upvotes to MAW and my Streemian is set to 50% VP upvotes (because when Streemian is working, it drains my VP pretty quick, due to other curation trails I’m following).
All in all our baby-whale’s swim seems to progress pretty well so far, aside from some turbulence and hiccups in the first couple of weeks of its life. Hopefully the second month will go much smoother! And, I guess, the more members we get, the most stable the project’s growth will become. It would be nice to get to the point of self-sufficiency, when MAW’s author and curation rewards are enough to pay for the lease of SP, without having to rely on external injections of capital. And, at some point in the future, even leasing SP will become unnecessary, once MAW’s own SP is adequate to reward its members with hefty enough upvotes. I look forward to that future situation and I’ll be helping however I can to bring it about sooner!
Also glad it is working and really fast as well. Was surprised at how soon the trail kicked in! Yeah, MAW decided we can't really control how the votes come in, we can set up the streemian trail and we can give instructions to help automate things. In the end it will be up to each user to make sure their votes come in.
Our baby whale is doing really well, happy with it so far. Still some kinks to work out and with time it will only get better. I am also looking forward to a future full of members. I was thinking of making invites equal to the number of days we are active (a bit over the limit now) but then one member can be added per day. Will be on a frist come first serve basis. They need to apply to join in the daily post. That we we can see some steady long term growth while still keeping our upvotes pretty big for our devoted feeders.
