Let's promote mathematics on Steemit
What can more discussion on maths bring to the Steemit community?
I did an analysis of tag popularity recently (view post here) and I was surprised to see that not a single post has used 'maths' as its main tag in the last few months.
I would like to change this.
I know maths may not appeal to everyone but a better understanding of maths and it's practical uses will (I believe) enrich your experience on this platform and in life in general.
I would like to kick this initiative off with a series of posts on the Mathematics behind Steemit - The Steemit Rewards Algorithm. In this series I will look at how rewards are calculated, how voting power is distributed, the maths behind the next fork about to be released, etc.
I expect this will not be everyone's cup of tea but I would really like to see maths have a greater presence on Steemit.
I think everyone can benefit from a deeper understanding of Maths. I started watching a series on National Geographic called "Genius" about Albert Einstein's life starring Geoffrey Rush. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to any with an interest in this subject.
Thank your reading the first (but certainly not the last) post with 'maths' as the key tag.
Would love to see more posts about maths : ) Math is the art of problem solving. Logics in maths are not only useful in tackling abstract math problems, but are also useful when we deal with any single problems in everyday life. I do think there has to be more math posts. Why math is not appealed to some people is mostly not due to the complexity of math, but the way of how they learn those stuff.
Lead the way Doc!

Math is present in every aspect of our lives, I for one love numbers and everything that is related. Great post!
I followed you.I'll happy if you do same.
Hi, I use #maths in my tags, but it is the British English abbreviation, so putting it as the lead tag will not get as many readers as #mathematics and #math, the US abbrev.
However, when I asked @jesta for the Mathematics Forum to be created on chainBB, it was coded so that any of the 3 obvious tags as the lead tag would qualify for insertion in that forum.
So, if you go to: https://beta.chainbb.com/forum/math (you will need to sign in if not used before) you will see your post in there, even though you used #maths. That's the smart way of doing tags, directing synonyms to the same place.
Maths is quite interesting indeed.Would love to follow such posts

HI @bitgeek, was commenting on a post by @ jonathanxvi and was commenting if there are posts to share simple methods of learning math since every country education system covers different syllabus then it would be cool. Make math engaging.
I followed you.I'll happy if you do same.
Hi you could also ask your question here: Ask a Mathematician.
@math-trail is a new community curator that aims to promote mathematics. Many people interested in maths just seem to be hiding in different corners of Steemit so the first step is to get more people looking at the maths content by spreading articles through multiple related tags.

Hey @bitgeek. I think more people would like maths if it was taught differently early on in life. For example, if schools linked maths to computing, gaming or design, what child wouldn't be interested?!
Great info.Math is my favt. Subject.Math's Application involves in our everyday life,
