REDCLIFFE JETTY MARKETS. PART 1.

This is my entry for Friday Markets hosted by the lovely, the talented, the charismatic @dswigle

My first Friday Market post titled, "Reggae in Redcliffe," covered the musical aspects of this colourful and wonderful market which is located in the heart of the Redcliffe Peninsula.

This time I'd like to help you get located, by giving you a sense of direction and a general layout of the markets. Because there are so many different aspects of this fabulous market I will break these blogs up in order for them not to be too long. Come with me. This is the entrance to the markets. Behind the stalls on the left you will see a little glimpse of the sea.

The street is closed off to vehicular traffic so people can wander at their leisure and shop for their pleasure. (Very poetic Trudee.)

There are bananas on your left,

And Gluten free bread on your right.

And in the middle, a mother and daughter pause to decide whether to go the jewellery stall or the clothing stall. A major decision!

In the very centre of the street is the entrance to the Redcliffe Jetty - hence the name of the markets. A lady walks with her dog towards the jetty for a change of scenery.

And then I spy the Ginger Beer stall. My mouth waters and my taste buds dance on my tongue demanding a glass of that tantalizing, sweet, ginger flavoured beverage. I don't drink soft drink but if I was going to have the odd indulgence, it would be a cold ginger beer on a hot summer day. Which it was. But, I was on a mission, and I wasn't going to be tempted.

The intricate wooden carved items were amazing.

There is so much more to show you but I will finish this segment with our walk along Redcliffe parade and promise to give you more delightful images next week. But before I go, I will leave you with a photo of a stall situated beneath stately Norfolk pine trees with a glorious view across Moreton Bay because that is where we will begin our Jetty Journey next Friday.
