Bryant Park Winter Village

This is a post for Market Friday hosted by the lovely @dswigle, and for this week I will share a few shots of the Annual Bryant Park Winter village market.

Bryant Park is a popular park pretty much all year round, but especially so at this time of year, when the Winter Village is setup it gets very crowded with people visiting and checking out the various vendors and their interesting products, many of them quite unique

This first shot was just as I was entering the Winter Village and gives you an idea of how busy it is and all the vendors in Stalls either side of this and other walkways

And here we look into one of the stalls, this one selling a lot of I believe I read somewhere on the display Handmade or hand designed woolen items, with the cold weather they seemed to be doing quite well, I didn't need to pick up anything I have plenty of layers depending on how cold it is likely to be if I got out for a photo walk, or just generally walking around the city.

BUt I did think these earm uff were so cool, more interesting than my plain dark colored ones, but I just wasn't sure which or if any of them would suiit me, so I moved on

I took this shot of a corner stall to give an idea of the size each vendor has, I think this one is actually a double unit stall, and was selling Chocolates, which would have been tempting for me to check out if not for the minor detail that I am allergic to Chocolate, not badly but if I have any more than a small portion I will come out in an annoying itchy rash, so I yet again moved on.

And finishing off with a shot fo a few more of the stalls and visitors t the Winter village with the Bryant Park Christmas tree showing behind them.

And here ends my Market Friday post for this week, I do have more shots from this Market but I haven't had time to edit them its been a hectic week, so I may share more in another Market Friday post

Oh!! I think you should have gone with the kitty ears! Warm and cozy and kinda cute looking too! Right? I mean, they would probably garner more attention than the dark, sedate ones that you are probably wearing. ;)

I really like the photos of Bryant Park! I think you are right in the fact that there is always something there, no matter what time of the year. Small booths, but, packed to the hilt with all kinds of trinkets and merchandise. I can only imagine what the rent must be in one of those places.

Oh, the chocolate doesn't even tempt me. I am an odd sort as I have never gone crazy over it. I like it and i will eat it, but, I never crave it. So, my family thinks I am a little weird. It sure does look cold out there! It looks like people are not letting any dust get under their feet and they are moving briskly about!

Thank you for taking us to Bryant Park. They did a nice job on their tree this year. And to think, somebody gets paid to decorate! Give me that job!!! I want it! Thanks for taking the time and effort to post into #MarketFriday! I appreciate the effort it takes!

LOL I forgot to mention it but when I saw they tree I did think of you and how you would love to decorate a big tree like that

Hmm the Kitty ones may be too cute for me but the Piggy ones could be a better option :)

I did one year try to find what the rent was for this market but had no luck but I agree it must be expensive without a doubt

Are you serious!! I would LOVE to decorate a big tree like that! When I lived in Texas, the house had vaulted ceilings in the living room and I got a 14 foot tree. I am not kidding. I think it took up the whole living room! LOL ,It was totally heaven!

Well, I think anyone of those earmuffs is cool! :)

You are right. I have tried looking up the rent out of curiosity and the site for application says: We only release pricing information to vendors who’ve filled out a vendor profile with us. (In other words, none of my business!)

The competition to get in there is steep though!

YEs now I remember thats allI found also, I wonder if one of the vendors would tell me if I started a conversation i may have to go back there again and see if I can coax it out of anyone LOL

I know!!! Inquiring minds always want to know!!! LOL

Howdy there JJ! Hey this is another interesting look at city life. I like the way they have those stalls set up and it looks like it would be a fun shopping experience, especially for women!

Yes many of the stalls were more for women I do believe I didnt have a good look in many of the shops as they were so busy but I may try again just as they open one day

howdy again JJ...well sir you are very dedicated. Most people wouldn't care much, they'd be on to the next thing but we appreciate your great work!

Well walking and taking photos is both my form of exercise and how I relax so I do not see it as work

well I'm thankful that you have that as a form of exercise and I think we all are!

thanks your kind comments are truly appreciated
