MarketFriday: Cow House Market!!
Last weekend, my wife and I together with a few friends visited the Cow House Market. As can be deducted from the name, the market is housed in some old cow stables!!
This market is a real mix of different goods, some antiques, some food, some art and even a Craft Beer stall. (I wrote on the Beers in the post Beers at the Cow House, as part of #beersaturday as hosted by @detlev)
The market has a large under roof area as can be seen on the photos.
It also has a nice outside space with some seating space and umbrellas, with some live music going on, to which we could listen, while having a bite to eat and some beer to drink.
There is a nice stall with some second hand books for sale and a couch where one can sit and relax while browsing through the books!!
We bought some food at this stall, you can get a good idea of the prices for the food ($1.00 = R14.00) Look at the interesting floor below the prices!!
Just look at this nice old cash register!!
I had a nice bunny chow, which is a half loaf of white bread, hollowed out and filled with some nice spicy curry!!
My wife had a Lamb Shank on mash potato!! Delicious!!
The rest of the photos shows a bit more of the variety of items on offer at this market!!
We had a great time at the market, socializing with friends, eating some great food and drinking some great tasting BEERS. (There was also some cocktails and gin which the ladies enjoyed)

Looks like such a cool place with interesting arts and crafts as well as great food, I would have opted for a Lamb Shank as well! We took one of our guests out today and he and my hubby both had a Mutton Bunny Chow :) Lovely post @rynow!

Well your first paragraph sounds my dilemma of why they called the cow house market. I thought it might be something like that but I wasn't sure. It does look like a real mix of antiques food art and honestly it's kind of cool looking and I love the way they have it all set up. Such a nice touch to have seating on the outside with some live music. Of course it almost looks like a beer hall and then I read that you have beer there too. Oh my! They have hit the cord for me when they have second-hand books for sale and a couch! I'm in. I'm not sure if your food it is expensive or cheap but I looked below where it says lamb shanks and mash and Bunny Chow? Omigod. The old cash register added A Touch of Class and you actually did have bunny Chow. I didn't really know that that was a thing but it does look interesting. And it's just my kind of Market that I love to go in Peru's lots of antiques lots of things lots of old pieces lots of leftover pieces and such an Eclectic mix of everything. I love the blue and white from Holland and I had a great time! Thank you so much for bringing us and honestly that is the funnest time that I have had in a long time going to a cow house!

Thank you so much for the nice comment. They also have some events for mountain cyclists, runners, and people with dogs, as there is lots of space.
(There is even a beer mile, where you "run" a mile, with 4 beer stops en-root!! I must still one day participate in this.)

This is a cool place! What captured my attention most is the old cameras! We have a good friend that collects those. For sure his eyes would feast seeing those antique cameras! Hahaha! 😛😍
My personal favorite is the miniature tea set. They are the cutest! I collect those. If I was there, I may have purchased a set. Hehe! 😁
