Mishmash for Market Friday
Happy Market Friday!!!
Well let me start by saying a big thank you to the always lovely @dswigle. Poor gal has been having internet problems lately, but she tries so hard to do a good job on her tag. It really means a lot to her and she puts in a huge amount of time trying to get to everyone's posts.
I hope she wont mind a bit of a mishmash post for my Market Friday today!
Well Good Bye House. Yes I raised my bid to almost the asking price for the old house, yet someone must have bid higher. I knew the deal was in trouble when they asked for everyone's highest and best offers saying they had a number of bidders. The Old Guy is way to cheap to ever get in a bidding war!
Good luck to them. The roof, AC, furnace, and water heater were all 20 years old. Hey that is what makes a good market, plenty of both buyers and sellers.
I have to admit to buying way too much of this Naan bread. Slightly warmed in micro (20 seconds) and wow are they nice!
Our local grocery store is getting in the Autumn/Halloween spirit.
So after having found a few items to buy at Urban Outfitters, my daughter and I walked to get a slice or three of delicious New York style pizza.
It felt like a place in New York, with not only the decor, but also the owner/order taker's gruff manner.
And of course the New York prices!
Nine bucks for two slices of pizza and a pop. YIKES!
Why didnt I think of this. I used to get straw bales from my farmer buddy Butch for a buck a bale back in the day. Lets say they are two bucks now. I could get a bundle of these mini mini bales off of one of the standard bales.. It is genius I tell ya, pure genius lol!!!

I was all ready for Market Friday....
But I blew 236 images off my card by mistake, >.>( must remember to download images before re formatting the SD card O.o) so I'm scrambling to get posts out for the next couple days lol
Or buy more SD cards. I can never seem to have enough. Nothing burns me more than to go out and realize I dont have a card with me!!! I see Amazon on my Amazon page has a Sandisk 32GB for under 7 bucks. They have really come down in price!

I was resetting the camera to shoot and download in RAW instead of .jpg and forgot I hadn't downloaded images from the last couple days prior to formatting .
Doh! I know the feeling. I end up using the recycle bin on my PC routinely lol.

I like random stuff sometimes. A little bit of something for everyone. :)
I say it was a good thing you didn't get that money pit. None of those things hardly last 20 years these days, much less more, with the lack of pride there is with products today.. I'm guessing you dodged the money pit bullet this time.

Thanks for the reminder that I can buy straw easily this time of year at any supermarket. I need it for my chickens and have to drive pretty far to get it other times of the year.
Happy house hunting, bidding is no easy way to get a house.
Sounds like you dodged a bullet on that one if it had things that old. Down here a 20 year old roof and AC that be asking for trouble during the hurricane season months.
Some places seem to have skipped Halloween and are already going xmas. Glad to see that is not everywhere. They still have a few holidays to go!
