One of the things I ove about Thailand is the abundance of green foliage and flowers. I happen to be in North East of Thailand last week i traveled there for two reasons one to celebrate New Year with some friends i had not see for awhile and the other reason, this time of the year the whole country side is blooming with colored flowers and flowered plants. So i wanted to visit some plant nursery markets.
There is something about the green foliage of nature like flowers and plants they just bring a pleasing clam feeling to my inner body it was something i needed to do while i was in the country side, to visit a flower nursery market after coming out of a big city like Bangkok it was like a meditation therapy to me been around beautiful nature.
I must admit from all the plants and flower in the world i really admire small cactus plants i look at them as little spiritual aliens with a lot of knowledge behind them in the way they are structureed and they seem to have a lot of energy surrounding them. They say if you want to attract love, happiness or spirituality in your life to plant some of these cute plants either in or outside your home.
Apart from my love of cactus plants i also love Bonsai plants and this market nursery had some really amazing award winning Bonsai plants which we back home in Australia would have to take out a personal loan at high interest rates to own one of these amazing plants.
I look at these little trees as a mature midget trees a form of art that reflects the contentedness of life and a respect for the beauty of nature.
Twists and turns in Bonsai tree branches symbolize age and the journey through time. Also Bonsai are know to be a lucky tree in the Eastern art of Feng Shui if displayed in your home and depending on the amount of leaves that grow on the miniature stalks determines the nature of luck you will have.
This Beautiful Flower Bonsai tree is a awarding winner first prize in this nursery market and can be bought for 12,000 Thai Baht's which is the equivalent to about ( 350 US dollars )
The Orchids are got to be the most beautiful flower they are like a ornamental plant delicate, exotic and graceful. The orchid represents strength, luxury, beauty and love. I am so amazed looking at these flowers they have so much character, shape and color such a exotic flower, so pretty in every way they make great gifts for your loved ones.
A yellow orchid stands for friendship and new beginnings.
A pink orchid represents joy, happiness, and innocence.
Now for the people who have no time for planting flowers or caring for them you can simply buy these gorgeous hand made flowers in all colors and shapes and will actually be quite decorative in your home or apartment with hardly any maintenance apart from giving them a bit of a dust down now and then.
Hand made to order on the spot while your having a cup of coffee by the gentlemen in the background.
And just to tease you a bit more a few more exotic colored flowers and cactuses to finish it of. It was a pleasant afternoon spent at this beautiful nursery the vendors were very patient and polite me taking photos of there nursery and very happy to hear that i was going to write about their nursery and i did say i wanted to buy a few little alien cactuses but was not able to fly them back with me to Bangkok unfortunately.

Wow! That is an amazing market with all the succulents and cactus. They are such amazing specimens to me.
I lived in the desert for a couple of years where they grew wild and have been in love with them ever since. When they are in bloom, they are the most amazing flowers!

as usual a wonderful post, hangin! in Israel, too, there are such places; they are also located outside the city. cacti are very familiar :) bonsai trees are very beautiful. I would like to go where there are many different orchids :)
