RE: Handmade Art At The Craft Market - MarketFriday

in #marketfriday5 years ago

These little pieces were so nice, Erika! Such fine details on small work, isn't it?I am always amazed how people can do such work!

I am interested in that material that looks like clay, but, is not. I wonder if it is less brittle than clay. Sometimes the clay, although easy to work with, becomes a little brittle over time. Of course, that may be the way I baked it at the time also! I am not sure.

We have many groups around in the States that employ persons with disabilities and they sell products to profit the cause. It is a really nice way to keep them employed and help put some money in the til for the them.

Their work is wonderful and I do love the little pistachio shells that are painted as well. I am so grateful for all the different and wonderful ways you show off #MarketFriday! Thank you so much and I hope you have a most wonderful day!

Thank you very much Denise for the nice comment. I'm very glad you liked my post and the photos. I'm always trying to bring something new, that maybe it's only available here. This is a nice tradition, celebrated every year and i know not many countries have it, except Bulgaria, but their products a re a bit different.
About the material, i don't know what it is. The woman told me but I forgot, to be honest. I tried to look it up but I only found clay like material that dries after 24 hours and this was different because she told me they are drying it in the oven. It looks like I have to pay more attention next time :)
Thank you again for your support and have a nice weekend!

No! It is I that thank you for going the extra mile all the time!! xoxo
