I love to visit neighborhood shops or privately owned establishments. It is so much more rewarding to me, knowing that I am supporting the local economy instead of big business.
They always seem to have things for sale that I cannot find other places, and there aren't a hundred of them in the same size, color, shape, etc. Plus, I probably know the owners.
You are so sweet, joining the challenge and giving us a great post to go along with it. Don't be afraid to do one on a new piece of silver coming in! You know we would love to see one! Thanks again and I wish you a most wonderful weekend!

Some of the first owners of businesses here were started by the current owners’ grandparents... isn’t that neat! We have a thriving old downtown. Hmmmm... I think I will share that next Friday!
