Market Friday
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (that is me!)
We will be going back to the Military Commissary again today. I missed the farmers market because I was tracking down an eclipse. But, next week perhaps. So, it is a big, big store that takes me forever and a day to get through. It does have a section of local organic produce, so all is good.
Are you ready? Grab a cart (or buggy or whatever you call them) and let's go!
The aisles are wide and the canned good and juices are piled high. There is no shortage of anything here. Except perhaps patience so days. Don't come if you are in a hurry. We are on island time here. No rush.
I have my heart set on some fresh, crisp kale. I like to bake some for kale chips and add it to my salads and even sneak some extra goodness in a soup or spaghetti sauce. Don't forget to grab some as you walk by. :)

Straight ahead, all the way down there is the dairy section. They also have vegan alternatives there. One of the best reasons to shop here is that they carry everything. Vegan, Kosher, Vegetarian, Diet, Gluten Free, Salt -Free, Fat- Free, Sugar- Free... and for the most part, there is a large contingency of foreigners because most of us have lived abroad and some have brought back spouses, so we have a large section of German, Dutch, French, British, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese and Filipino food. There is more, but, you get the idea.
Tea? I need to find my PG Tips and then I will be happy. I looked on Google for the tea I should be drinking. Here is what they said:

I backtrack to the fruit and vegetable aisles and find what I need. Oh, I am ready for that refrigerator check on Monday. I open it up and take a picture of what is in my refrigerator. If I am ashamed of what is in it, it probably shouldn't be in there.

Better is a relative term.
This is huge and i noticed not so many people to buy. In Bucharest (and Romania, generally) all the time all supermarkets are full, people buy like crazy,
I don't know why. I start to not like so much to go shopping in supermarket...
This is large because it is a Military Grocery Store (or Commissary) It was when it first opened and I raced around trying to get all the pictures I needed before it got crowded. I do not like shopping at the supermarket. I much prefer the regular "old" kind of markets. We frequently call them Farmers Markets They go directly from the farm to you.
When I lived in Europe, the supermarkets were so busy, I hated going to them. I literally used to get almost assaulted in the German markets. They would shove me with their elbows to get in front of me at the meat counter. LOL It was pretty brutal some days! No kidding! :)
I'm glad you don't like supermarkets and thanks for the additional information. I understand now that the world (or at least in Europe) is the same. Now I understand that my market is a Farmers Market.
That is the term the US uses. In Europe, they used to call them different names. Whatever they call each market would be correct. You should be really tired tomorrow!!!! :)
