Market Friday ~ A Trip To The Philly Pretzel Factory!
Visited the Philly Pretzel Factory and they have some yummy pretzels! They aren’t located near where I live but are located in a shopping center near the in-laws house in Bel Air, Maryland. They have a small storefront in the shopping center. Thanks to @dswigle for #marketfriday, as I get to share my visit with you!
When you walk in, they have a large front counter with an easy to read overhead menu sign and the delicious aroma of those soft pretzels.
They also have a hot box with a few items already made. For larger orders, they bake the pretzels fresh. It doesn’t take long and it gave me time to take some photos. The two ladies working there were really nice too!
If you are thirsty then they have a few varieties of frozen drinks available.
They also have cold cases with sodas, teas, waters and more!
This is a photo of one side of the kitchen with the huge oven.
A closer shot of the oven.
This is the other side of the kitchen with the mixing bowls and tables. I was really impressed at how very clean everything was.
The pretzels are done now and sitting under the hot lights while they get ready to box them up for the ride home.
We decided to get The Crowd Pleaser which is 25 “Philly-Style” soft pretzels and it comes with a bottle of mustard. You can choose one of three varieties of mustard. We went with the spicy brown mustard. The Crowd Pleaser is approximately $16.00 US. We had a coupon for $1.00 off that we printed from the company website.
They also offer different dips for an extra fee. There is Cheese, Cinnamon, Philly Cream Cheese, Chocolate, Buttercream and Marinara.
Ahhh..the pretzels are all boxed and bagged..ready to go!
It was about a twenty minute ride home and the pretzels were still quite warm when we got home! Here is the Box O’ Pretzels!
Ooops, forgot to show the mustard..
I think it’s a great deal! We also signed up for a rewards card. We have a family get together at the end of the month and plan on picking up a batch for the gathering.
They also offer fundraising programs for local schools and organizations.
They can also make custom shaped pretzels. I can just imagine some of those requests..lol!
Okay! I know what you’re thinking! What the heck is @deerjay gonna do with all them pretzels? Eat ‘em..eventually! Yes, the rest of the family helps and I’m a sharing kinda’ person. We freeze at least half. They freeze up great but I do recommend letting them cool completely and breaking them all apart first so you can take one out at a time if you just need a little snack. I heat one up in the microwave for about forty-five seconds and it’s good to go. My husband heats his up in the toaster. The kids are like me and use the microwave. I haven’t tried them in the oven but I’m sure they’re good like that too.
That concludes my Philly Pretzel Factory visit. I can hear one of those pretzels calling my name so gotta’ go and hope you have a wonderful MarketFriday!
They certainly look delicious. Hot with butter, I close my eyes and almost taste them.
