Who The Heck Are These People?

in #market6 years ago (edited)

Almost everyone I know in crypto HODLs... they HODL so hard it is annoying!

I left my house to run to the store 5 minutes away and I come back to this!

What the heck who are these people who buy and sell on every damn news story and whim?

Can you all just settle down,.. please!

lol, just a rant.

@whatsup,
Oh ho it's USDT anyway it will stay around $1 :D

Cheers~

Hi @whatsup

Just checked your profile just to realize that we seem to share a number of interests :)

In particular that we both share a similar passion towards cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology :)

big fat upvote on the way! :)

I will follow you closely :)
Take care, Piotr

You going to the store caused this!! :O

Damn you, @whatsup! What did you do at the store?!

It happens to me today, I was telling a friend about how the prices were slowly going up, like it was kinda getting into something quiet and secure, and the new minute, Fuck that! Steem was 1.58 today, minutes later 1. 43 :(

It can change very quickly.

Lol, I got the Timing Right !
Sold most of them.

Those are the people that chase the bull runs and don't understand why they got stuck holding 20,000 BTC. :)

I was pretty surprised to see Bitcoin still above the 8k resistance zone this morning so I expected that to correct asap..

If Bitcoin holds above 10k for a week, I'll start thinking about transferring some other cryptos into Bitcoin Cash. But not Bitcoin.

Steemit is full of people who paid way to much for Bitcoin and desperately want to think they didn't balls that up - hodlers

That's my opinion anyway!

Bitcoin cash? Oh geez.

It's too bad I know what that picture means (Yours not Roger) because I love the color and it is pretty cool!

I sold my Bitcoins for $17 000 and some poor sucker bought them.

I'll buy Bitcoin again next time I can see a chance of a big gain in one year. But that is not now. Bitcoin cash is probably crap, but if it takes off it could potentially have bigger gains. This is all guesswork based on emotion and sentiment - hopefully other people's rather than mine :)

I'm already a Steem and Monero hodler, but at least I got in early

You still live with a scarcity mindset. If someone gets into STEEM right now they are still early. It sounds like you just wanna sit passive and hope for the best. That is a losing mindset. You need to take massive action as well if you want success.

Oh don't worry, I'm not judging. I bought bitcoin at 690,... sadly, I held. :) Maybe not sadly, who knows!

:) I have a bit of several things that lot's of people could make fun of.

I've been watching for 2 years now, still none of this makes a lot of sense. I'm on the ride. It's fun.

I paid 1k for bitcoin, and If I still had any now I'd hold, but I don't think it will go over 10K or below 5k this year - right now my biggest hopes for further gains this year are Steemit and Etherium

I'm always looking for the next wild ride - the last was smart cash - holy crap that was good for a week or two but i didn't sell the stupid thing - won't do that again!

Not go over 10K? Just lol. Don't you know history always repeats itself.

Yes, the repetition does seem true. I guess a big part of the equation is whether you expect this internet thing to catch on or not. Could just be a blip, and then we'll go back to business as usual.

In which case, buy newspaper publisher stock. And radio stations. Being able to reach people where they consume information is valuable. Maybe billboards...

Obviously the store is to blame, we should form an angry mob and go show that store what for.

They are traders who care about profits and fear temporarily loses. I don't believe they are going to hodl one day because they don't care about blokchain technology and the potential it holds. Blokchain needs to be introduced more often than bitcoin and cryptocurrency to attract those who are willing to hodl. :)

Blockchain is open source code. Not sure it holds any inherent value without a Crypto.

What are your thoughts on why it would bring value to the crypto markets?

The potential I meant is not related to crypto market. It is decentralization of assets's control, and the absence of the need of mediators like governments and banks to facilitate the movement of goods/money between people. On long-term ceypto market would benefit from the mass adoption of blockchain technology.

Walmart is adopting a blockchain for its ordering and tracking.

You didn't ask me, but I can't help but chime in on this one. The two cannot be easily decoupled. It's like Siamese twins. Each is dependent on the other. The blockchain works because the participants are rewarded. Without a reward, there will be no blocks.

Well, I guess I could see some scenarios where blocks would be produced for different reasons. The NSA would be a likely "altrustic producer" in some weird privacy coin, for sure. Facebook too. Perhaps Alexa could yield block producer rewards based on a measure of your "usefulness" to AMZN?
