RE: Price Analysis, Jan.10: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, IOTA, Litecoin, NEM, Cardano

I will try to go through and touch on a few of the points you raised.

Its hard to take your reply seriously when your first line is "Well first of all that is not true it does not fight plagiarism,"... have you read the logs we post? That is literally what we do, look at all the cases. Are there things we miss? Sure, but we are only people. I can tell you that we review and log anything we personally find or anything reported to us.

If you are telling me to look up the definition of plagiarism that is another sign that you don't actually read our posts or comments. On any post that could be considered plagiarism we literally link to the definition of plagiarism in the comment.

I agree that your posts aren't plagiarism, that's why nobody accused you of plagiarizing anything. You'll notice that comment you received doesn't mention the word plagiarism, it talks about copy/pasting, there are people who feel copying and pasting entire articles without adding any original thought doesn't add anything to the platform. That is why the comment you received talked about only using a few direct lines from the source, adding your own thoughts, and not directly copying more than 50% of the article.

As far as interacting with users after a steemcleaners comment there is all kinds of followup work done, we just generally do it on our personal accounts instead of the steemcleaners account.

As far as vote buying goes, absolutely none of our reports use vote buying services. We actually dont want our reports trending, the reasons having been discussed at length in posts like this one. I am not going to go into this yet again but there is absolutely no vote buying and we actively avoid trying to have our reports trending.

You misunderstood the first post on our last report, he was talking about comment spam on our actual report from other people. The comments we make can look similar because we use similar responses for the different kinds of abuse. Plagiarism, identity theft, misuse of tags, etc..

We don't put other people down, we fight abuse. You don't think Steemit is better off having someone that cares about fighting abuse? What would you propose? Do you feel people should be able to blatantly plagiarize, steal someone else's identity, or any number of things without any consequences? If you are anti plagiarism and abuse than I would like to hear your ideas on how best to combat it. Personally I feel steemit is better for having people that actually care about trying to make sure that if someone steals your hard work, your original steemit post, that there are some sort of consequences.

I hope I have shown you that I read and considered your post. I have tried to correct the things that are just factually incorrect. We are not a bot but a group of people, our reports never use vote buying, we follow up on any and all claims of plagiarism that we find/are reported to us. It seems like you already have your mind made up so I don't expect you to change it but I hope you at least got a little more insight into how things actually work for us.

Sort:

Ok great we are getting somewhere. So You are accusing us of copy/pasting not stealing content. Yes we do this although there is more to it because of all the incompatibilities in the steemit frame. This is not illegal and a means to an end. Same as you guys (and girls) feel it is justified to spam on epic proportions for your agenda.

Why do you have a problem with this then is my followup question? If you read the comments you can clearly see the intentions?

If you think cointelegraph has a problem with this you are most likely wrong. We work in this industry and the way the posts are made it creates traffic to their site and awarenesss for their brand.

Logic raised a point regarding the disclaimer on the bottom instead of the top. He thinks this tells him we are trying to get as much reward as possible.. He does not understand conversion optimization clearly because having the disclaimer right above the vote button does not help getting votes it helps getting traffic to their site.

You say that you do not buy votes and use votebots. This is a statement not an argument.... How do you explain then that there are more votes then views in these "reports" and that the vote/reward is really high? On top of that Cheetah even says it is a votebot or something like that....

Further I looked through some of the wallets and you can clearly see that at least Logic is buying votes. Maybe for his own content you say? Well the interactions with the seller and the steemcleaner account make that very unlikely.

What I propose for steemcleaners:

  • Try to look at things on a case by case basis. If people are doing something wrong they feel they are doing something wrong. You will deter them quite easy
  • Turn off the Cheetah, it looks extremely bad on you if your intentions are true.
  • Have a clear pattern first warn, then discuss with user, and if it is really problematic (like true plagiarism, id-theft) act.
  • Stop with the high upvotes on the steemcleaners comment. Again this makes you less credible.
  • Look into the vote/view ratio in your blog, I am not the first to notice.
  • Manage your own posts regarding comments/spam

As discussed earlier, biggest problem on Steemit and the loss of new users involves issues regarding the rewards and tactics to steal from the reward pool. It is very disencouraging to see lots of these crap posts make lots of money. My feeling is that discussions with key stakeholders (whales) is the only option since they are a large part of enabling this all. So yes I do see some value in steemcleaners if it is done professionally. I am currently just disagreeing with you posting comments under our posts I find unjustified. In my opinion it is a way of forcing your opinion on others. This is clearly different from other abuse that I have to admit you do combat.

Wow you are an intellectual midget
