The 10 biggest mistakes made by cannabis growers

in #marijuana8 years ago

1 - Do not water too much

Excess watering kills marijuana plants. The correct is watering when the soil is dry, which allows more oxygen in the soil, in addition to encouraging the root to grow, so that she seeks water deeper into the soil.

2 - Do not tell people

Because? They will be jealous. People like to feel important and that's why they will tell other people, because others will hear them. So keep your marijuana cultivation as secret for you.

3 - Touch / kill germinating seeds

Please have a little patience with cannabis seeds are germinating, they can take up to 10 days in certain cases. And when germinate, take the seeds carefully and NEVER touch the radicle.

4 - Use bad provenance of marijuana seeds

One of the biggest disappointments in a marijuana cultivation. 90% of the final product is is the genetic seed, and the other 10% in culture conditions. Some people get pressed marijuana seed and think they have a gold mine, spend time and money on the cultivation and in the end just smoke none, this because a seed of these has quality to ensure good flowering, they are usually hermaphrodites, and only produce more problems seeds. That's why people buy seeds from seed banks.

5 - Do not over-fertilize

People often think that clogged a plant fertilizer will have beautiful abundant crops, but it is not true, you will kill them. Do not add fertilizer every watering. Always check the pH of irrigation, especially if you have not meshing with certain fertilizer. Remembering that the ideal method for the cultivation of marijuana is organic, because you have better organoleptic characteristics and better burning smoke.

6 - Not less fertilize

Under fertilization is less common, but it happens. If you like to give just enough nutrients to the plant, make sure to use slow release fertilizers such as flour bone and blood. Always mount a mixture of organic and rich soil, and leave this land to stand for about 4 months before planting, watering it normally as if there were a plan.

7 - Do not start by clones

For primary marijuana growers, it is important to learn about the fact of cannabis life cycle, so start with seeds, see all the natural process of development of the plant and the time it takes to grow. If you already start with clones you will see rapid growth, and when dealing with seedlings will find it very slow and end up rushing at fertilization. Therefore it is important to fit in with the natural rhythm of marijuana.

8 - Do not rush the start of cultivation

Especially if your marijuana cultivation is in the external area, it is important to know as well as your region responds to each season. Provision should be made as will be the time to have enough sun, or whether it will rain. In the period of Vega (growth) cannabis responds well to rain, provided that the vessel does not get always flooded, but in the flowering period your plant get rain, it is likely that mo-fem all buds, and give it up for lost.

9 - Do not give a bad environment

Always choose a place of culture where there is good air circulation for the plants, even during the night cycle that is extremely important. If cultivation is indoor, air must be exchanged at intervals of 5-10 minutes ever! Check moisture is also essential if it is too wet to use the air conditioner can get rid of mold in the flowers.

10 - Not too early harvest

I know it's hard. You see your buds growing rapidly and forming resin, not to mention that dizzying smell, which gives you mouth water every time it comes close to the plant, and the will is to cut one of these flowers and smoking, but do not. What happens is that almost 25% of the weight of the flowers will be formed in the last two weeks, so expect to have at least 50% of brown or orange pistillos. But of course, if its cultivation is outdoors, and the reason for the early harvest is safety, make the cut, knowing you will not have as much as your plants could offer.

This is all for now!

I complely disagree with rule 7. If anything using clones gives you the predictability you need! I would also add avoid trimming after the light schedule goes to 12/12.
