Marijuana: Truth or Lie? based on my personal experience

in #marijuana7 years ago (edited)

Today i want to share with you my opinion on what they say about marijuana, based on my personal experience.
For the last 5 years i've been smoking this plant, sometimes once a week, sometimes every day, sometimes because i had nothing better to do, other times because i just wanted to smoke or i was joining my friends.

In the last years this plant was "legalized" in big part of the U.S.A.
Anyway, i don't know if we can call it legalization, is more of a monopolization of the plant so the states can make profit out of it, but the citizens are not free to plant it and sell it.
In many states it was legalized only for farmaceutical use, however the doctor will prescribe it easily to everybody or for problems like stress or headaches.

In Italy this plant is considered illegal, but it's not hard to find it and buy it,

Truth or False? based on my personal experience

Smoking marijuana can become addictive.

Mostly true

When we smoke marijuana usually we mix it with tobacco, the tobacco contains nicotine, and this nicotine, when you smoke it daily creates addiction and to stop is usually not easy, if you are not motivated and determined enough.
However the marijuana also can create an addiction by itself, is less addictive than cigarettes or alcohol but is still an addiction.
The state of mind and the feelings that gives you when you smoke it will make you want it again and sometimes you will start missing that feeling and smoke another joint.
Is more of a psichological addiction than a fisical addiction.

If you are a marijuana smoker and you think is not addictive at all is because you never tried to stop, however when you stop you will realize that it is a bit addictive.

Those who start with marijuana usually go for more dangerous drugs.

False.

Before i started to smoke marijuana i also tried different drugs, but after i started cannabis i've never been interested to go for more dangerous drugs.
I think that is not the cannabis that make you go for harder drugs but mostly the people that surround us and the missinformation.
I live in Italy and here many guys start smoking cannabis at the age of 16 because they see it a cool thing to do, as something that make them look older, so they start go round with people that use harder drugs and they also start using those drugs, without knowing what are the consequences.
So i think is not marijuana that makes you go for more dangerous drugs but mostly is the missinformation, or atleast that's how i see it in my country.

Smoking cannabis makes you stupid.

False.

The marijuana only amplifies your ideas, so the people you smoke it with and where you smoke it will have a big influence in your experience.
If you smoke it with some guys while only talking about how to be gangsta, how to make money, how to fuck bitches, very probably mrijuana won't make you smarter.

I usually smoked it inside the house with my friends while speaking of philosophy, the meaning of life, why are we here?, interesting books that i or some of us were reading, interesting moovies that one of us has seen.

So based on my personal experience, smoking marijuana and being stupid are not connected.
Many guys become stupid because of the circumstances they find themselves in while smoking marijuana, but those are choices, if you think that the people you are smoking with are not helping in the process of improoving yourself, change your friends.

Smoking cannabis doubles the risk of becoming schizophrenic.

False.

This is another news on the internet published by those that don't want the marijuana to be legalized, either because they will loose profit if it would be legalized or because they are really religious people and can't stand any drug.

When marijuana was illegal almost everywhere it was not possible to do researches on it, but after the legalization in the U.S.A. many researches were published and they actually proove that marijuana is a better remedy than farmaceutical drugs, for mental problems like schizophrenia because it doesn't have collateral effects and there is no lethal dose.

Online there are many posts or articles about the use marijuana and schizophrenia and i invite you to read those that see marijuana as a cause and those that see it as a cure and decide by yourself which seems true and which one seems false.

Smoking marijuana causes impotence in men

I don't think this to be because of the marijuana directly.

If you smoke it once in a while it could have a positive impact on sex, because smoking marijuana relaxes your body and mind and takes away the anxiety and makes you be more sure about yourself and the choiches you are making.
Terrence McKenna said that he started smoking marijuana because he was having an erectile disfunction and while having sex after smoking marijuana his problem was gone, sosince the day he discovered that, he never stopped smoking marijuana.
But let's not forget that many studie associate smoking cigarettes with erectile disfunctions, so when we smoke weed every day i think there might be some chances for the erectile disfunction to present, not directly because of the marijuana, but because of the smoke that we inhale and the tobacco that we smoke with our weed.
However this is only my opinion and i do not claim it as a fact because i'm not really sure about that and i haven't done enough "experiments" on this.

Thanks

Thank you all for reading that article.
Those are only my opinions on the subject and i don't claim them to be the absolute truth.

The "So-Called" Addiction is Easily Explained :)

Cannabis is a wonderful self-diagnostic tool for discovering the presence of "issues which need to be dealt with." Feel like you "need" cannabis all the time? You have issues it's helping with.

Whether you're aware of these issues or not, there is zero addiction. You're subconsciously being drawn to alleviation of your issues. It goes way beyond simple escapism and into the very cells of the body.

Go Be Awesome!

Interesting theory @thecleangame.
How often do you smoke it ?

I've Used Cannabis for 30+ Years for Autism

nausea, pain, seizures, strokes and more. I've run the gamut from being a clueless teenager, worried I'm an addict, to an educated user who's aware of the reasons for use.

I've Worked With a Large

number of people, with various ailments, and have witnessed the same series of events over and over. I myself have personally experienced it several times through various actions. When the issue is resolved without cannabis, the desire for the cannabis goes away. The difficulty comes when you realize how many issues cannabis relieves or resolves.

Many people have enough full-time issues, the idea of living without cannabis is laughable. What is not laughable are the number of people unknowingly living without cannabis. I feel for how tragic their lives can be.

Cannabis is a Wonderful Tool for

finding out if you have unresolved issues. Anxiety, autism, add/adhd, high/low blood sugar/pressure, pain and on and on and on. Feel like you need it all the time? Go find out what it's relieving. :)

Great post, i really agree with you about that great plant. I bealive it can save our planet.

Thank you for stoping by.
Steem on!!!

Weed opens our conscience and gives us a brighter overal idea of everything. Calms us and makes us reflect and introspect. I don't see it at all as a gateway to harder stuff. Every single one of us was born with a brain, we just take it to the trash if we want it. 😅 ciao

Interesting point of view Andreia.
Thank you for stoping by.

Grazie mile ;)

I can't say anything because I have not try marijuana my whole life. I have some friends though who told me the same things you mentioned above.

I can say that the cigarette is addictive, very difficult to give up and harmful.
However, the marihuan I have left for an iclusive month for years, I have used it for stress, for anxiety and its results are incredible.
Good article.

Thank you for your time.

Hey, great post! I personally noticed, that whenever I smoke my libido is increasing, but when I smoke too often it's the other way around. I become lazy, not motivated and not productive, so like with everything the moderation is the key, but if I smoke once/twice per week sex is feeling amazing and I just want more and more of it :)
