Drugs. 2017.

This is my current stash that I picked up from one of Seattle's most popular recreational marijuana stores: Uncle Ike's, located in Capitol Hill. There is also another marijuana store across the street called Ruckus that I frequent as well. Ruckus is a lot smaller and more curated than Uncle Ike's.

If you know nothing about Uncle Ike's they took the city by storm when legal marijuana became a thing. Their branding has sort of a retro twist and they display vintage anti-weed posters proudly in their stores. They also don't shy away from taboo-ish lingo including their easily remembered phone number: 1-800-GET-DRUGS. Or, a neon sign on the side of the building pointing to the front entrance which reads: "Score at the front door."

So what did I pick up?

I grabbed one strawberry jam cookie by Winterlife, because strawberry jam. Sounds so yummy on a cookie. Of course, the 10mg of cannabis is "frosting."

Winterlife started out as one of the grey-area delivery services when Washington State and Seattle was trying to get the industry sorted out. They would deliver weed to your residence legally, or illegally, depending on your interpretation of the law. They lasted until the law forced them to stop and they became a producer.

The 7 Layer Bar by Swifts is probably the tastiest edible I have ever had. In fact, you can barely taste the cannabis, if at all. So what does the 7 layer bar taste like? Think Butterscotch, almonds, and coconut.

The joint, or pre-roll as they are called in the store, is filled with the Jack Herer strain of cannabis. For just $6, I am very impressed by the quality. I thought it wouldn't be that "kind."

And finally, Goodship pastilles. Yes, pastilles, those fancy candies you find at fancy functions. I got these because I am a sucker for Cherry. As much as I like cherry, these may be a little too tart.

But, what I really like about these things is that they are wrapped with four pastilles per bag. So when you are headed out the door, just grab a little baggie and go!
