New marathon world record
I was watching the live stream of the Berlin Marathon this morning. I knew Eliud Kipchoge was in a good shape and wanted to beat the world record from 2014 (in Berlin as well).
He was fast during the entire race but in a marathon, we never know if he will be able to keep the same pace at the end. Eliud did it and beat the world record of more than 1 minute.
EDIT: the official time is 2:01:39!!
He obviously made history today and this record will probably be there for a long time. Or maybe he will beat it again next year? He's probably capable of doing it!
That is a huge result, over a minute taken out of the previous world record.

He is a great source of inspiration for a lot of runners I think! (myself included)
Yea... including myself. There is one great distance runner who inspired me alot, Haile Gebrselassie from Ethiopia. Holds 17 world record and 2 Times Olympic Champion. Do check him out buddy.

Yeah I know him as well. Personally, the other runner that inspires me a lot is Mo Farah!
Mo Farah is just legendary. Just bought his autobiography Twin Ambition.
