[Mapala Blog] Shaman meetup

Hello, my friends! It is @lehard speaking, and I want to tell you about our second team meeting that was this weekend. The previous meeting was in Miass, and after that we decided to launch our preICO. The last meeting went productive as well.

We organized that meeting spontaneously. In the middle of the week we just decided that it was the time to fix our structure, we couldn't postpone it any longer. More and more people join our team, so we had to establish all the processes urgently, otherwise it would be impossible to control it.

@uralresp took over the organization and quickly found the right place. It all looked nice on the pictures, so I, personally, craved for going there.

It is a dome House, in a small Ural village not far from Yekaterinburg. Some enthusiasts have built this house, and now it works as a hostel where everybody can come and stay. This is how the house looked during construction:

It is very interesting just to visit such a house, and it is great to spend couple of days there with like-minded people.

We arrived 9 people to the house: @lehard, @dark.sun, @kilogramm82, @tatiana, @uralresp, @anasta, @b14ckb0x, @arjun, @aroma.

We departed on Friday evening. It took us 2 hours to get there, @dark.sun and @b14ckb0x were coding something on our way there.

Volodinskoe village which is 120 km from Yekaterinburg along Tyumen highway served as a benchmark. But the house itself is located even further from the highway in Borisova village. It was late when we got there. Map https://yandex.ru/maps/-/CZh4ULoP

A tall guy met us in the house and introduced himself, 'I am Sasha Vegan, but my friends call me just vegan';) He was one of those who built the house. We registered him on golos.io We hope he will like it there, and we will read a lot of his stories about the house or festivals he organizes.

We were just having fun, smoking shisha, talking, relaxing and playing music that evening.

The Vegan played some kind of tambourine and an iron thing for us, and @aroma tried to combine it with the modern music. Watch this short video to see how it looked like ;)

Although every one was relaxed, the coders couldn't just sit still and were trying to code something all the time.

On Saturday we started working from the very morning. Before the meeting, the guys prepared the structure. They divided our team into 4 departments responsible for Promotion, Coding, Design and Finances.

It is so much fun to work in such atmosphere. ;)

We were to establish the processes and set the tasks within every department, assign responsible people, report the results we achieved and what resources we lack.

Saturday evening - sauna, shisha... We also discussed our project, but in more relaxed atmosphere. We talked less about the certain things, devoted more of our time to the prospects and future.

More people arrived on Sunday as well: @beloglazov with his family. @beloglazov is a famous Russian traveler and photographer, he also owns a popular travel blog. About ten more people came to the house, they decided to spend the weekend there.

Everybody began leaving the place on Sunday afternoon. @dark.sun liked it so much there that decided to stay. ;)

I think that the meetup was a success, we already have the first results: on Monday, @uralresp finally agreed with @beloglazov on integration Fotoed magazine into Mapala.net. We started working hard after the weekend finished, so you will see the first results soon. Of course, the work could have been even more productive, if we had organized and planned everything from before. We will take this into account for next meetups.
