Xlendi bay: Place you must take your sweetheart to on your next date
Xlendi Bay is a lovely site that is very popular for swimming, diving, sunbathing and romantic sea-side walks. It is situated in the south west of the island of Gozo, Malta. The bay itself is really scenic, with crystal clear, turquoise blue water and caves in the cliffs surrounding it.
There is a small sandy beach leading into shallow waters. This location also offers great walks along the coast in various directions on rough terrain.
Xlendi has a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, especially during the winter months. It is also a typical Gozitan fishing village and well-served with good restaurants, I tried fish and chips and ice cream. Like many Mediterranean cuisines, traditional Maltese and Gozitan food relies heavily on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Hike up on the cliffs and watch the panoramic views below, it's definitely worth it.
