The Steemtopia Network of Learning UPDATE - taking expression of interest now!
Based on the positive response I received from the initial post about a proposed learning platform proof-of-concept: https://steemit.com/makesteemitgreat-again/@plushzilla/the-steemtopia-network-of-learning-helping-steemians-to-achieve-success-together
I have updated the topics and will compile a list of people who are interested in sharing or exchanging their knowledge with other steemians:
And I will start putting in names and topics in a table to record and post this information for people who are interested in using this as a resource. Should the need for something more sophisticated like a website or Discord group arises then we can move onto that, but I hope this will also encourage people to participate in @steemgigs or the Steem Freelancers Guild :)
| @username | TEACHING | LEARNING | CONTACT |
|---|---|---|---|
| @plushzilla | STEEM, LIFE | STEEM, DIGITAL, LINGUISTICS | Discord (plushzilla #1634) |
| @mountainjewel | NATURE: homesteading, permaculture, sustainability | ||
| @grow-pro | NATURE/LIFE: homesteading, gardening, sustainability | ||
| @amariespeaks | SPIRITUAL/LIFE |
So if you are interested please spread the word and also leave your details in the comments section. This would be a great way for new people on Steemit to get in touch with a wide range of people that can help you with your journey here!
Better still, if you write a #hello-steemians post and mention my username (so I can track it using @gina-bot) I will put it in this list so you can kill two birds with one stone :) Here's and example I did earlier:

Seems like a good idea, but it can be improved:
Instead of copy-pasting names and data (which would get tiresome very quickly), we can set up a Google survey form that automatically generates a spreadsheet. I can easily do that for the learning community (I've done it dozens of times to produce self-grading online exams for my college students), or if you already know how, you can do it yourself @plushzilla.

[3 responses: read a summary or click on the green rectangle to see a spreadsheet]
The advantage of a constantly updated spreadsheet is that it is not limited by the 7-day freshness of Steemit posts (very few people look at other people's "old" posts). Links to the online form can be inserted into new posts. The spreadsheet (or portions) can also be made visible to the general public.
That's a good idea, and I will set one up but I don't think there's enough people interested yet so I have to keep posting anyway to get some awareness out there first. For now there's only a handful, but maybe if all the people interested can share a spreadsheet with this information that would be great!
Excellent post, interesting . Godspeed!
Thanks for the kind comment :) Anything you would like to teach or learn here?
Nice @plushzilla
Thanks :) Is there something that you would like to learn or teach here that I can promote for you?
I instantly thought "Saturday Night Live" lol.
Yes, I had to change the name from Steemtopia Learning Network to make it happen :D You can't take yourself too seriously all the time on Steemit :)
Piqued my interest! I have two of my initiatives in mind that I'd like to offer and already seems like I could use your input!
The first: Growing Money In Your Yard Series - I started a Steemit series to help spread independence and show people that growing money is just about as easy as growing grass. I have only released half (15k words published) and have much more on deck. This one has many parts, so maybe we can chat in discord at your leisure. I am looking for BOTH those willing to learn, but also Steemit users that already create informative media that will help 'teach' (incorporated into the series).
The second: Steemit Quality Content Initiative
This one is a little more simple. I'd like to offer my services voluntarily, as my time permits, to help fellow Steemians with post formatting and adding media. I have info on how new users can learn by seeing it down with their own content - via a realtime editor called firepad.io
I really like the idea of being able to share knowledge with those who seek it. THANK you for this creative way to connect more of us..
Hi @grow-pro, so I guess the first one is about financial education which I guess falls into LIFE (not so much spiritual) and the second one is focused on STEEM? From our conversations I think we have a lot of common interests and what we want to provide for this community so perhaps we can discuss this further on Discord :)
