MakerDAO Governance Meeting Minutes 2016 November 6th
Formal Governance
Thank you all for joining the formal governance meeting. We have 16 participants on the call today.
This part of the meeting will be recorded and is meant to simulates on-chain proposals. Proposals need to be clearly stated, debated, and generally agreed to prior to the meeting. Once a proposal has gone through these three checks it can be brought up in the formal governance meeting for finalization. Proposals should be posted to forum.makerdao.com and can also be discussed in #proposal-discuss on Rocket Chat
Upon conclusion of the formal portion of the meeting, further topics will be discussed and debated.
Dev Update:
Maker Core
- No new feature developments. Checked system contracts for solidity bug. Migrated some dappsys components to 0.4.4 (See https://blog.ethereum.org/2016/11/01/security-alert-solidity-variables-can-overwritten-storage/). Continuing to refactor maker-core for simpler testing. Worked on roadmapping with Ian.
Maker Market
- Current Market deployed with Solidity 0.4.4 (so not vulnerable to latest storage security issue)
Token Auction / Weekly MKR Auction (UI)
- Weekly MKR Auction renamed to token-auction-gui
No updates currently due to block gas limits.
Simple Stable Coin
- Command line interface for issuers completed
- First version of simplecoin explorer created
Maker-core roadmapping
- Mariano & Gonzalo: Updating Simple Coin & Feedbase contracts to Dapple 0.8 & Solidity 0.4.x. Couple deployment issues resolved with the help of the Nexus team.
- SimpleCoin Explorer working on showing minimal coin data (on Morden): https://makerdao.github.io/simplecoin-explorer/
Maker-core roadmapping
- Split focus into 2 major milestones:
- 1 CDP type in a restricted issuance/voting system
- Public ETH CDP type and non-ETH CDPs
MKR Sale update
- 2100 MKR sold for 1379 ETH
