Friday Menu - Cauliflower Manchurian

It's TGIF and it's weekend, and I have decided to cook cauliflower manchurian today,
since cauliflower are cheap this season, that makes a good reason to munch on cauliflower isn't it? My own version of cauliflower manchurian 😊

All we need to have are:

Cauliflower -1head
Green bell pepper -1 pc medium
Carrots- 1 pc.medium
Onion- 1pc.
Garlic - mince
Onion leaves

Condiments:

Soy sauce 2-3 tbsp
Chili sauce
Vinegar
Sugar
Ground Pepper

Batter

Wheat flour/ half cup ( adjust to consistency)
Corn flour- 1tsp
Chili powder -1 tsp
Turmeric powder- a dash
Salt
Water

Methods:

  1. Wash & chopped all vegetable ingredients.
    While taking time prepare vegetables, boil water.
  2. Blanch cauliflower for few minutes, then set aside.
  3. Prepare the batter, make a batter as the ingredients under( batter )
    (The consistency of the batter should be runny )
  4. Heat oil in a wok ( I use coconut oil )
  5. Coat the cauliflower in the batter.
  6. Deep fry cauliflower, in low flame.
  7. Set aside. Fried cauliflower.
  8. For the sauce: heat oil in a pan, saute garlic and onion, till brown
  9. Add carrots and green pepper, continue mixing for few minutes.
  10. Add chili sauce, add a little water
  11. Add soy sauce, vinegar, ground pepper, sugar & salt ( adjust the taste )
  12. Simmer for few minutes.
  13. Add fried Cauliflower and coat with sauce
  14. Switch off fire and add onion leaves

And your cauliflower manchurian is ready!
