Friday Menu - Cauliflower Manchurian
It's TGIF and it's weekend, and I have decided to cook cauliflower manchurian today,
since cauliflower are cheap this season, that makes a good reason to munch on cauliflower isn't it? My own version of cauliflower manchurian 😊
All we need to have are:
Cauliflower -1head
Green bell pepper -1 pc medium
Carrots- 1 pc.medium
Onion- 1pc.
Garlic - mince
Onion leaves
Condiments:
Soy sauce 2-3 tbsp
Chili sauce
Vinegar
Sugar
Ground Pepper
Batter
Wheat flour/ half cup ( adjust to consistency)
Corn flour- 1tsp
Chili powder -1 tsp
Turmeric powder- a dash
Salt
Water
Methods:
- Wash & chopped all vegetable ingredients.
While taking time prepare vegetables, boil water. - Blanch cauliflower for few minutes, then set aside.
- Prepare the batter, make a batter as the ingredients under( batter )
(The consistency of the batter should be runny ) - Heat oil in a wok ( I use coconut oil )
- Coat the cauliflower in the batter.
- Deep fry cauliflower, in low flame.
- Set aside. Fried cauliflower.
- For the sauce: heat oil in a pan, saute garlic and onion, till brown
- Add carrots and green pepper, continue mixing for few minutes.
- Add chili sauce, add a little water
- Add soy sauce, vinegar, ground pepper, sugar & salt ( adjust the taste )
- Simmer for few minutes.
- Add fried Cauliflower and coat with sauce
- Switch off fire and add onion leaves

And your cauliflower manchurian is ready!
