How to make a sigil using the Rose Cross Method
This post is in response to @in2itiveart and her sigil making series of posts starting at the following link:
https://steemit.com/art/@in2itiveart/praktical-magick-101-a-sigils
I highly recommend them for a basic how-to on the supposed "chaos magick" style of making sigils which I have employed many times to great effect.
In our conversation in the comments she had mentioned that she didn't understand how to use the Rose Cross method of sigil making and since that was the first way I learned and have employed it to great effect, I decided I would write a short piece giving instructions on how to use it.
For those that are unfamiliar with sigils, they are a powerful tool that can be used to help manifest anything you desire. There are many different theories and outlooks on how they work and, without launching into a long and complicated discussion on magickal theory and quantum physics (I'll save that for future posts, ;-) ) I'll summarize by saying that they communicate directly to your subconscious and/or superconscious that directly interfaces with the "matrix". Regardless of how they work, experience has taught me that they DO work. This doesn't mean that just because you make a sigil for a million dollars that the next day a check for a million dollars will arrive in your mailbox. That's not out of the question but generally it works a little different. But I digress...
The Rose Cross method of making sigils is somewhat similar to the chaos magick method. However, instead of combining the letters to form some sort of figure you map it out on the Rose Cross. The rose on the cross consists of 22 petals each corresponding to a letter in the Hebrew Alephbet which we will convert to it's English phonetic equivalent for our purposes. To begin you start with your statement of intention. For this example I will use the statement "I will have an abundance of wealth."
The Rose Cross mapped to the English phonetic equivalents is:
First, remove all the vowels except "A" as Hebrew does not have vowels with the exception of Aleph which corresponds to our letter A. Since we are mapping this phonetically instead of alphabetically we will use the "th" as a single letter. This leaves us with:
W LL HA V AB N DA N C F W L Th
Now we will want to remove the double letters leaving us with:
W L H A V B N D C F Th
The Hebrew letter Vav corresponds to both W and V so we can remove that. In this case the C is the soft C like an S so we will map it to the Shin position instead of Kaph. We can rearrange the letters so our sigils don't always start with the Vav position giving us:
H V Th L A B N D C(s) F
Now you put a piece of tracing paper over the rose cross letter map or load it into your favorite image software and connect the spaces with our letters putting a circle at the beginning and a cross at the end like this:
And our finished sigil looks like this:
That's it. Simple and effective. The sigil can be incorporated into art, hung where you'll see it or charged any other way you would charge a sigil.

Great guide, @jphenderson! Thank you for sharing. Upvoted & Followed you as well.
Glad you enjoyed it. I hope to find time to write something again very soon.
This is FANTASTIC!!! thank you for posting this... so this then, NOT "chaos magick", because it uses a mechanical method for creating the sigil? Also, what about the letters when they are silent - like the "G" in "ing" or "H" in "white" ? Blessings!
Personally, I would do it phonetically but there's no "right" or "wrong" way. Just use your intuition. It never steers me wrong. You can use this instead of the chaos magick method or I like to do it in addition to the chaos magick way. You could probably incorporate both into an art piece and be hitting it from all sides. I like it because the finished product leaves no trace of the original letters for maximum subconscious penetration. You can also translate your statement of intent into Hebrew and use the original Hebrew mapping. I've seen the Rose Cross mapped out into runes and Enochian as well. The sky's the limit. Glad you liked this. I might write something on the mechanics of the subconscious/reality matrix generation next.
Yes, please and thank you! - keep writing - and thanks for the "there's no wrong way" - and "use your intuition"... I feel very grateful. I have been doing the scrying for about 5 years and was growing "bored" - needing something new - this should provide me with a lot more inspiration... and more that I can provide for my clients once I am adept...
Interesting post my friend @jphenderson, something different, very good post congratulations
Thanks! Glad you like it. I had to write something besides PG stuff for a little while. That shit gets heavy after a while.
