I understand your point of view, @weisser-rabe. But I really tried everything to keep the communication with people in the last two years. My opinion is that no one is interested in the other's opinion anymore, after building their own in these two years. And in fact, the woman I'm talking about knows very well from before what our opinion is, because we have common acquaintances.
Only now, and only here - in a network where no one knows me personally, I allow myself to share these events, because I'm really tired of verbal attacks, insults, scandals, ridicule or just silence from the other side - people with the opposite opinion.
I try to engage in conversation with people, no matter what their opinion is and whether it fits with mine. I don't want to stop doing that - and it works very well to respect each other and not to want to proselytise the other person. I am very sorry that you have had many other experiences.
Ich versuche, mit Leuten ins Gespräch zu kommen, egal wie ihre Meinung aussieht und ob sie zu meiner paßt. Ich möchte damit nicht aufhören - und es funktioniert sehr wohl, sich dabei gegenseitig zu respektieren und den anderen nicht missionieren zu wollen. Es tut mir sehr leid, daß Du viele andere Erfahrungen machen mußtest.
And I am very happy for you, that you have this positive experience! Water it, nourish it, keep it! Because there is nothing more important than the valuable communication between people.
