In stressful times of market crashes, overwhelming politics, and strife, sometimes you have to take a closer look around you to find something to make you smile. To remind you that things aren't so bad if you take it in one piece at a time.

Today, that thing is a Caterpillar. A really freakin' cute one.

So sit back, turn down your volume (unless you like loud cars in the distance), and have yourself a smile on me.

Between duck feedings I looked down just in time to notice this little guy hiding out on the wall of the house!

He had obviously been caught in the recent rain storm as you can tell from his hat and the huge raindrop that falls from his side at the beginning!

I took a screenshot to send to @sunravelme and she informed me that this is an Io caterpillar! We spent the night looking over information about him, because he (or she) turns into a beautiful, fuzzy moth! I ended up setting up a habitat for it and keeping it overnight since it is pretty close to start making its cocoon.

However, in the morning it looked incredibly sad and was attempting to escape. It broke my and @sammosk's hearts so we decided, even though he was safe in our care, that he would be happier back in the dangerous wilds!

But I still have plenty of photos!
