Tea anyone?
My entry for #macrophotography #colourfulphotography Thursday @photocontests by @juliank
Image taken in Istanbul in 2015, we got tired after exploring the city on foot so we took a break and had chai (tea) with a great view - overlooking Bosforus. I couldn't resist & not to take the picture.
I had Turkish tea before as my Turkish friend serves for us sometimes. It's different as served in those cute little glasses with tiny spoons. Very popular in Turkey to sit with your friends & family sip numerous glasses of tea, chatting and nibbling on nuts, seeds or sweets.
One of the things I'll always remember about my Turkish trip would be tea. Let it be in cafe or even boat trip you have waitress walking around with tray with tea and announcing loudly the tea is here by shouting Çaylar Çaylar!
Travelling with friend who is native to a country is great. During that trip our Turkish friend showed us the best spots in Istanbul, we had best tour guide & translator in her and get to know the culture from inside as we also stayed over at her family's.
