Milk Thistle.

This amazing flower is a lot more then just a weed that you find out in your yard or the field you're crossing for a shortcut. It seems to a magical plant actually.

On top of the many health benefits, you should look into that as well, it has been a symbol of honor and nobility in the Scottish country for centuries. The thistle is the national flower of Scotland, and they even started ~The Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle~, in 1687.

The Order of the Thistle from Scotland is still a legal order of knighthood. They have factions still in the United Kingdom as well as The United States of America. Some of the factions name's, can get rather lengthy. For instance, "Knights Commander of the Order of the Thistle of the Masonic Knights of Saint Andrew of the Valley of Austin of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry for the Southern Jurisdiction of the United States of America."

The thistle hasn't only be revered by the Scottish. The species' scientific name is marianum. Which comes from Latin and refers to a legend that the white spots on the leaves of this species of thistle came from the milk of the Virgin Mary nursing her child whilst fleeing to Egypt. Milk Thistle is a very old medicinal plant.
