Feeling is important in falling in love, but choice determines how long you'll be staying there

It is believed that before two individuals can be involved in an emotional relationship, they must have fall in love with each other, and this kind of love is believed to be a true love.

In most cases, true love has been proven to be a strong and lasting affection between spouses or lovers who are in a happy, passionate and fulfilling relationship. But nowadays, there have been a diverse understanding on what really brings about the love to make it a true or false love. Although many people believed that when you have an emotional feelings for someone in which might not be easily controlled is what drives you into falling in love with them.

Yes, falling in love seems to be the most crucial part of the early stages of how love is been evolved but most of us tend to focus on falling in love and use the feeling of love to determine the criteria of having a true love relationship.
Falling in love is easy to do, almost effortless, but losing that loving feeling is not that hard to do either, which is where the issue of choice making as a criteria for true love rolls in.

Of course, we all know that when a relationship has just started, when it is very new and fresh, it is fun and enjoyable courting or being courted. Where in the beginning we are constantly thinking about the new person in our life, and wanting to spend all of our time together and share new experiences together too. That is where we start to putting feelings above choice on the scale of criteria for true love.

This mix up of understanding the fact that the choice you make in a relationship can actually overcome what you feel about it(I.e the relationship) has now make no one to seems not wanting to talk about how those loving feelings can fade, that it takes work to keep the love alive, and that choosing to stay in love is a choice we all must make, not forgetting that feelings, however, can be fleeting.

I'll like to share a story of a young man who fall in love with Lady and sacrificed all he have for the love. During the course of their courtship, he never cares to know deep about the lady, all he cares for is to finding ways to keep the love even more stronger. After several weeks of their relationship the lady finally agreed to passing the night at his place for the first time. That night the lady couldn't sleep, weeping bitterly which makes the guy to ask her about why she has been crying, she told him that she had a problem of bed wetting anytime she fell into a deep sleep during the night. The guy was scared, but doesn't see it as a big deal because he felt the love he had for the lady is too strong for such thing to make him leave her. To cut short the long story, this guy later break up with the lady two months after, because he could no longer cope with the condition of his sweetheart.

This is another story of a couple who loves themselves so much, and can sacrifice anything for the sake of their love. This is a relationship where the guy has sacrifices all his dreams, career, family and a girl who loves him dearly and can do anything to have him. After making all these sacrifices, he later got to know that the lady he has loved so much is totally different from what he think she was. When he could no longer keep with it, he left the lady. But after he had think deeply over it, he came back to the lady because he thinks he should be able to cope for the sake of the love.

The two stories above has shown us two different perspectives of how choice is more important compared to feelings when it comes to issue of true love. The stories have proved that who we love is as much of a choice as it is a feeling. It has made it known that staying in love takes a commitment.

For this reason, it is very important that after the rosy glow of the new relationship wears off, we have to make a decision: Do we want to love this person and commit to a relationship together, or are we going to let this person go?

In conclusion, It is a choice to see the good in our partner every day, rather than focusing on the negative things that bother us. We can choose to ignore the petty, irritating small things our partner may do, we have to accept them and love them as they are.

Love is all about choices. We choose to see the good, ignore the petty, look for what we could do for our partner, and remember why we love our partner.

Therefore, our choice of choosing to put in the effort to do things that will keep the relationship going is what love looks like, and with that work comes the wonderful reward of staying in love and note that trying to change our partner into us is one of the biggest relationship mistakes we can make
