It happen very often when in the beginning a person starts to love someone he starts to love her with all his heart but after some years this true love starts to fade , in my guess it is the brain blocking the whole thing...indeed love is present there but mind plays tricks all over heart and makes it kind of fade away...
You are so right. The mind, instead of expanding, clumps. Once you are aware of it, you can tackle and solve the issue. Not through force, but rather by relaxing, easing and allowing.
