The only one thing that stands between you and love - and how you can overcome it!

After watching the Hungarian film "On body and Soul" a thought came to mind. Human-beings need a supernatural force to make them see Love.

Since the story of the film is not its main element I allow myself to describe some narratives. If you do not want any kind of spoilers you may want to stop reading now.

The film describes in a slow, quiet and delicate way the weaving of love and relationship between lonely man and woman who work together. When they first meet, they resent each other, or at least indifferent towards each other. However, through a (regular; non-divine!) intervention they realize that they dream the same dreams. From this point onward, they look at each other differently until they fall in love. How does it end? Watch the movie to find out.

A narrative in the film, one of many, is to show that a regular man and women can meet, fall in love, even in the most unromantic environments, that is their specific workplace. Another narrative – and I am not sure it was intended by the creators of "On body and soul" - is the following realization:

Only after some supernatural force/element was intervening, they fell in love.

But How? What happened exactly? Where did the love come from?

Well, it didn't come from anywhere. It was always there! You may find it difficult to accept but there is love, right now, between you and every person in your life. With some people, there is a potential for this love to manifest as a romance. If you are in a relationship, and you no longer feel the spark/passion or the love, and you think that it has gone (forever) or that you "lost it", then know that you are wrong. The love is there.

Why people need a supernatural force to be willing to love? After all, if a winged angel was knocking on your door, telling you something like – "John, you know Julie, the librarian? We, in heaven, tell you that she is your One" – then you would immediately see Julie in a different light and pursue the possible opportunity for a relationship.

If a supernatural being came to you and your spouse, in the middle of a fierce argument, and told you – "Dear Sarah and Mathew, you can quarrel as much as you want, you can argue that the love has gone and you better separate, but I am telling you that you came from the same spiritual trunk and that you two are written in the stars" – then immediately you would see each other in a different light. The all-encompassing light of love.

And the amazing thing is that the winged angel and the supernatural being would not be lying. There is a strong love connection between you two.

If so, you may ask now, if there is so much potential for romance around us, why so many people still do not experience love, either being single or while in a relationship?

The answer is simple but difficult to accept: You need to get out of your mind to have it. Literally.

You block love. And specifically, your mind does not allow you to love. Only an out-of-the-box element, like shared dreams, is able to convince your stubborn mind to lower its shields, to cast away the doubts and confusion, to release the old beliefs and the restricting indoctrination. Only then the magic can begin to happen and fast. When the mind is not on guard, the natural always-present love, is allowed to penetrate into your reality.

I will use an example from the finance world to make the point clearer. One of the forms that love wears is trust. When you love, you trust and vice versa. In the world of trading, it is well known that investors who manage to be resilient to the ups and downs of the markets make, on average and for the long run, the most profits. How do those investors manage to resist the fear and not sell when the market goes down, when their mind is screaming "sell everything, you will lose it all"? Because they trust. They quiet the mind, and like in relationship and love, they know that their mind is shadowing the real reality.

Do this exercise - next time when you ask yourself where is the love, take a look at your inner frightened mind, take a very deep breath, and watch – there is a supernatural being standing right next to you, and this being is speaking to you, and it tells you that there is love for you, waiting, right here, right now. And the next thing you will do is to approach the next person you like and tell them – "you know, I dreamed about you last night. I think it means something".
