As you may or may not know, the @gardenofeden land is for sale to generate the funds needed for an even grander version of this life we live in love, and to share it with many others.
@saramiller and I are presently applying our focused energy toward liquidating some of our assets, cleaning, clearing, organizing, packing and making upgrades to the house. For me this is metaphorically symbolic of what I’m doing inside of myself. I’m digging out the old stuff way down deep, purging, clearing my energy, and making myself anew. I’m feeling deeply the changes within and standing in gratitude everyday for the experience of these times where change is embraced and newness flows in.
There are so many things I’m sharing in this blog that I have never shared before. Some of it feels freakin’ scary to put out there, especially on social media, but I’m breathing deeply and letting it go, knowing that holding on may only hold me back. Though I have intended to write about these past 12+ years with Quinn and the awakenings and awarenesses I have gained, the experiences have been too potent and too plentiful, and me too full to begin.
Oh how I wished I had been writing about this all along, though I know right now is the perfect time, because it’s happening. I didn’t intend to begin writing this story right now, or I may have given it more thought or considered how I would organize the massive amount of information and wisdom I’ve gained. I simply wrote one post, then there were two, now twenty. The blog (or is it a book?) is organizing itself and what comes next just appears. Like magic, really!
What I tell you may be quite controversial, may provoke you to squirm, to raise your eyebrow, tell your friends, or to judge me. (Remember that things are not always as they seem, but appear based on one’s own ideas and the veil through which one sees.) And simultaneously may warm your heart, bring you to tears, inspire you to love more, or challenge you to stand in the pura-fire of your own existence and reach for your own truth.
It can be incredibly painful to look at oneself, but unless we do, we will continue to repeat the same patterns, not knowing how to break the cycle of the hamster wheel we are on, perhaps until we’re dead--if we aren’t already!
We can’t make changes until we realize we have changes to make, and are willing to really look at things instead of running away, blaming others for our problems, or being too busy to address them.
Once we see, we cannot unsee, we can only hide and go numb again, or be brave and be accountable to ourselves for change.
These are the moments on which our lives are built.
These are the moments that can help us rise above the difficult times.
These are the moments that eventually can help us find our peace.
We have to do our own inner work.
My hopes in writing this blog are that it helps us all stretch and expand, to reach greater potential within ourselves and our relationships, and that it brings us closer to the love that we really are.
I believe I am here on this planet to experience unconditional love--everything else is a means to that end, or is a distraction. I intend to continue fine tuning myself to truly and intimately know this juicy eternal love. What @quinneaker has shared with me is priceless...OMG how will I ever repay him? I hope to find some words to do it justice and pay forward this loving energy of awakening.
Thank you for reading my blog and for
taking this journey into the abyss with me.
I’m super grateful that you are here.

@saramiller is also writing a blog - A True History of the Garden of Eden. She has some real REAL REALNESS to share in her clever way with words. It’s an incredible story on the other end of the spectrum from mine (at least as it has started). Powerful and ohhhhh so worth a read!
I have taken literally tens of thousands of photographs of Quinn over time. He became one of my favorite subjects as I was inspired to capture his essence through my lens. I’ve borrowed a few photos of Quinn when he was younger for the beginning of this blog, the rest of them I took myself. People have remarked about how amazing my photos of him are. It really isn’t about my talent at all, I’ve simply encoded the pictures with love!
You are absolutely welcome! It's a delight to read your blog. ♥️
So glad you're here with us on Steemit too @rissa-keeps-on. And I love that you are in the driveway right now loving on our aloe plants. Thanks for being here--ALLways! 💗 💗 💗
My husband started reading Sara's story and a little of yours, he pointed out something that hadn't occurred to me. I had a tendency to see the similarities between Howie and Quinn, but Howie said "A being that big- that's what Ethan is becoming." It's pretty wonderful to realize we're raising a child who is also exhibiting an incredible amount of empathy, love, and self awareness! :) Howie also said that when you come from that place, of pure love, you are unstoppable. I'm more excited than ever to watch Ethan's life unfold.
Here's a recent picture of our giant fifteen year old (I swear his advanced physicality is reflecting his inner being)- right before his first arm wrestling event:
It's so fun to watch our children, and to realize the potential they possess if we can just stay out of their way. I love that you can see that in Ethan and that you are both holding space for him to expand and shine.
I love that you're both reading our stories and that you're working together in the same direction----LOVE!!! Love having you here @dreemit.
I was introduced to your blog by a mutual friend @emmakkayluv . I find your words very uplifting and happy to say that I am now a follower. :)
Yay!!! So glad we have in common our mutual amazing friend @emmakkauluv, and that he led you here to me. He is a gem of a human being and I have no doubt that if you're friends with him, we too will benefit from knowing each other.
Thanks for following my blog @gooddream (great screen name btw). I hope to provide you something of value to engage. Blessings on the way.
@gooddream is one of the very amazing people I'm happy to know here on steemit. He's one of those people I would like to see in person if I have my way for his unusual wisdom and love for the people. I'm glad you guys get to know each other through me. And I hope you have good time knowing each other because you both share one thing in common. HEART FOR THE PEOPLE.
let the love keep us going ♡♡♡♡♡
I will go take a visit to this person you deem as amazing! Thank you for keeping the love in flow and spreading it around @emmakkayluv!! We can never have too much love! 💗
It would definitely worth it.
Except it won't be enough, it can never be too much.
What an awesome life it is to be loved so much! I can tell you feel something real about it @emmakkyluv! So grateful you are here!
What an honour it is to me to be mentioned by you @gooddream. Knowing you is a blessing and I hope to one day prove to you how grateful I am by bestowing the love on others too.
