Lovingly dealing with your husband's anger.

Gain more Bible-based guidance on how to deal with a husband's anger or disrespect toward you. Pastor's wife, Debbie Chavez, explains that it usually has nothing to do with you. It could be stress or frustration. She quotes Philippians 2:4 speaks that each of you should not look only at your own interest but the interest of others. She also identifies that he may feel inadequate, shame, disrespected or unhealed father wounds. She encourages you to brainstorm healthier ways to deal with his anger including exercise, counseling and a healing based Bible study. It could be family or job stress. Debbie encourages you to pray continuously and strategically for your husband.

Her devotional is just over 8 minutes. I hope you enjoy her talk.

It makes sense to confront your husband when he is calm and explain why you had problems with what he said or did. Unfortunately a lot of men don't love their wives the way they should. They don't treat them that well either. Which is why Peter said what he said,

(1 Peter 3:7 NIV) Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

If you're a believer and your spouse is also a believer then God is not only your father. God is also your father-in-law. God cares deeply about how you treat your spouse and how your spouse treats you.

Thanks so much my friend for your input
