Steemit is only as strong as the communities that it is built on.

Community can be defined as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

So how do we find other Steemit users who share the same attitudes, interests, and goals as we do?

1. Head over to the Look For Niche Discord channel: https://discord.gg/GRnFQhQ

DiscordApp.com is a communication tool that is used by various Steemit communities to grow support and camaraderie among its members.

2. Check out the Look For Niche FAQ tab.

You should always check out the rules of a Discord Channel before you start communicating with its members. Different channels have different rules. And breaking the rules can mean that you removed from the community.

3. Click the Look For Niche looking-for-niche-tagging tab.

In the command box at the bottom of your screen, type in the following: whalebot lfn ____
(where the blank is the name of the topic/interest that you are searching for)

Example: whalebot lfn parenting
(This is one of the shared interest I am most passionate about!)

When you press Return/Enter then Look For Niche will tell you about other users who are interested in your topic.

If you search for a topic that does not have much interest, you will receive the following:
you're the first to recently ask about "name of your topic"!

HINT: Always make sure you are typing the command prompt correctly. On several occasions whalebot has been autocorrected to whaleboat, which is not recognized by the Look For Niche Discord Channel.

4. Reach out to people who are interested in the topics that interest you most.

We all want to connect with people who have shared interests and goals.

Look For Niche is a great way to find people who value the topics you value.
