On Adoption

in #longgame7 years ago (edited)

The Long-Game --> A game where the process is more important than the end result. Where building your masterpiece is the most enjoyable thing to do. My posts in this Long-Game series will be investigating the Steem blockchain and all the latest happenings on it! The future is bright.

They are all referring to the long-game of the Steem blockchain and anything that remotely relates to that.

In these posts, these topics and more will frequently be touched upon:
1. dapp developments
2. interface features
3. ideas for the future
4. content creators on Steem
5. entrepreneurs on Steem
6. and anything else!

Essentially, everything is up for grabs in these posts. They’re about the future of our favorite blockchain: the Steem blockchain.

This article looks like it may be really good. I haven’t read it yet, but when I do, expect a great analysis of it!

For now though, I just wanted to talk about the graphic.

The graphic for this article sparks the following thoughts to me about the future of adoption for crypto and Steem.

Our main issue to getting Steem adopted widely is the issue of usability and practicality.

If Steem was easier to use and understand for the average individual, we would see major growth.

If Steem was practical in the sense that anyone could walk off the street, simply create an account, and start earning some crypto that they could easily spend anywhere, then it would be even more widely adopted.

There are many hurtles to adoption.

There are a lot of implementations and iterations that must come about before we see Steem or any other crypto reach the masses.

The hurtle is closing the gap between the hardcore fans and the average user!
