The Homestead at Night

A night shot of our homestead. I have started practising long exposure photography. This photo involved frozen fingers and snowshoes. The streaks/beams on the right are from the wood stove chimney smoke. I think I had too much light on the cabin, so next time I will turn the porch light off.

    This is even more beautiful than the first one you did! I think the hazy smoke creates a wonderful effect against the sharpness of the stars!

    Thank you! I think I needed a longer exposure, the night was far starrier than what I captured. I'm going to keep trying until I get all the elements right. The smoke does add a nice effect.
