I like Kent but he never was the player the Hawks needed him to be. He was a tough player who played hard but was very streaky and just couldn't consistently be what we needed him to be. Turner is a very good player just on s team that had to to much fire power and he just got thrown in the back burner. I think he may thrive again in Atlanta..
Bazemore was fun for a while but I’m excited to see what Evan Turner brings to the table. It’s all about who keeps the bench strong these days, you can have an amazing starting 5 and struggle with no one coming off the bench to keep points moving forward.

Both are overpaid and in the final year of their deals. Neither guy would be in the long term plan. As far as this year, Turner will be a good ball handler to fill in when Trae is sitting. He and Vince( assuming we resign him), will be good in mentoring our forwards this year.
Gotta wonder if Schlenk understood that he created the potential for the worst shooting back court duo ever by having Turner and DeAndre Bembry on the team. It was not a salary dump unless you feel saving $600,000 a salary dump. Turner was actually the overall pick in 2010. Hawks must have felt he would be a better fit with young players and can run the point if needed, so maybe a better position fit too.
