The Great Friend

A two good friend soldiers separated each other when their captain said they have to retreat from the war. They are Arman and Mando. They have no match against their numerous opponents for they are defenseless. They might be all killed if they don't retreat.

After arriving in their camp, Arman finds out that Mando is not their. He was so worried about his friend. They have talk and promise without leaving each other. He approaches his captain to asked permission.

"Captain, I'll go check back Mando, maybe he still at the battle ground,"

"No way," said the Captain. "I don't want you to risk your life for a man that might be dead already."

Arman knows that it is very dangerous to go back to the battle field, that's why the Captain won't allow him. At evening he escaped from their camp. He want to go back for his friend. He will never be at peace until he won't see him. If he died at the battle, just to see his body then it will assured him.

When Arman return to their camp he is wounded. He fought many risks. The Captain was angry meeting him.

"I told you that your friend is already dead. Now, you might likely to die too because of your wounds. What's the value of your doing, tell me?" Asked the Captain angrily.

"Captain, my friend is still alive when I came. Before he died in my arms, he whispered to me, brother, I know you will come back for me."

The Captain seems embarrassed. He never argued. He immediately let Arman be treated by their medical team. He walked around at their camp that night. He can't sleep. He thinks of his friend in their group. Just like Arman's friend, it was never get back to their camp when they retreated. And he never return back to search for him.

Lesson to learn:

It is better to go back and know the truth, than go along like you don't care. Because we knew all along in our lives while we live we can never be at peace for we don't know what was going on, what happened to the past that we left behind. It's much assuring that we knew all what's left behind than to keep on asking ourselves "what if" and "if I only" look back behind.

Just like the sayings "you will never get in your destination, if you will not look back from where you came". For life is a journey make the most of it, and be the past to be your guide. Not all friends will come and go there's always someone that you can treasure too. It may near or far away from you.

Reality check

Many people afraid to look back for they want their past to be forgotten. They are scared to faced the truth about what was back then. For they don't know that what's in the past is the best teacher to give lesson to learn in the present life. They wanted to forgot but the truth is, they keep on holding the past. They keep on thinking what if I only look back. Don't be scared it's not too late, still have time not to forget. Just reach out to let know and you can be prepared.
