Introduction to Robert Frost, a English poet
Robert Frost was born in San Francisco on 26th march, 1874. He is considered the most famous modern English poet.Frost mother a poetess herself and wanted to name her son after Robert Burns, a Scot poet as his mother was a Scot poet. But Frost father wanted to name him after General Lee, Hence Frost full name is Robert Lee Frost. When he was child he had sickly and neurotic. At the age of 11 Frost's father died of tuberculosis . Frost with is family went to new England.They had to settle down in Salen in New Hampshire because they had no money to return.
To support the family,Frost's mother took up a teaching job.Frost joined Dartsmouth College in 1892. As early as his schooling in Lawreance High School, Frost displayed an intense pleasure in Scholarship. In 1894 his first poem was published.
In 1895 he married Elinor White and tried to settle down as a school teacher. To prepare as a college teacher he spend two year at Hardvard college as a student. But he did not stay there, he think that that was not suitable for him. After that several disease attacked him. He had not enough money to spend of his diseases. Later he came back to his old school teaching.
In 1912, Frost made a hard decision if his life. He chose poetry as his vocation. After that he was a famous poetry writer.His fame was spread all over the world as a writer of modern poetry. He died in January 1963.
