It is a natural reaction for people to punish those who do them wrong. However, when we are wondering how to treat others, we should focus more on guiding them instead of making justice. The people who are trying to do others wrong have clearly lost their way and they need someone to show them that there is a better solution. Just think about how you would feel if someone did something of the sort to you. It may feel good for a while, but most probably you would regret it pretty soon.

When you are thinking about how to treat others as you would like to be treated, you should know that it’s not only about your actions, but about your words as well. It is common for people to tell a story in a way that is advantageous for them or that is amusing for the others. Although this may seem a good idea, you should stop and think: how would you feel if someone else said all those things about you? This also brings up the problem of gossip. For sure you know that it’s not nice to gossip. As a matter of fact, it’s not only that it’s not nice, but it can also turn out to be hurtful for the subject of the gossip.

I believe if we cultivate it as a habit to treat people the way we want to be treated, we would not only make this world a better place, but also have a lovely stay in this better world.
