Question of the Day - A short Life Doing What You Love or A Long Life Being Miserable? [lifestyle][qod]

I recently watched a small video clip of a talk given by Alan Watts, and in the short youtube clip , link posted by @annonews, Watts asked
"What would you like to do (with your life) if money were no object?"
"How would you really enjoy spending your life?"
Watts goes on to say
"Forget the money, because if you say that getting the money is the most important thing, you will spend your life completely wasting your time, you'll be doing things you don't like doing in order to go on living that is to go on living doing things you don't like doing...."
The next line in the video is where the Question of the Day comes from. He states that a short fulfilled life is better than a long miserable life.
So I ask you Steemians, If given one of two choices prior to life on Earth on what type of life would you choose to live, would you choose a short life doing what you love or a long life being miserable, unfulfilled and doing something you don't love and why?

I can agree with that statement, but each person has that "fulfilled" differently defined if you ask me, I dunno:)

@kid4life I agree too, now of course a long fulfilled life is the ultimate right, but the question is if you were asked before your life began, and you only had two choices... I think most would choose a short fulfilled life rather than a long miserable one.
The underlying message though is that one should not take for granted what one currently has, and to enjoy it and make the most of it, and if isn't what you make, then strive to make it what you want.
The first one man without think a lot because in this life it's better do what you want when you want that just follow the state laws. Regards
Good morning @streetstyle, I choose long life, I think everything depends on you, if you do not do anything, you learn nothing, nothing will be and that will be the inheritance for your children, if you do not want a miserable life, work constantly, fight for your dreams and learn from each day.

For me it's better to have a short but vivid life than to exist and not live a full life. Probably it's good that we do not know our future, because it's never too late to start living.
I would like short and fulfilled life,
the long life would be working to try to find the money to fulfill my happiness

Better probably a short but happy life, although if a person is self-sufficient, he will not be bored and in a long life, he will find himself an occupation. Thank you for the interesting message.
