🔥🔥"Burning Beauty"🔥🔥
There is a beauty inside me,
It is burning to be free.
Oftentimes it is smothered by the
Rage that pervades me,
Burning me up from inside.
“Passion/Rage”;
Are they flip side of ‘Hope/Love’?
They consume us in the same ways.
Or so it seems.
Time, inexorably marching along
Is the enemy of beauty, erasing all the
Great works, and yet,
True beauty remains unchanged.
The Burning Beauty of the Sun,
The Raging Beauty of the spirit,
Countering the failing
Beauty of the body.
And inside me, the
Hopeful, Loving Beauty
Continues to come to the surface,
Despite the burning rage that
Sometimes overwhelms me,
Much to my chagrin.
