5 Minute Freewrite Prompt : system

It was 5.30AM and the sun was beginning to rise. It's beautiful from where she was standing and she stood firm on the grounds that was still unfamiliar to her. It has been 2 months since she first arrived in this small little town, just outside of St Townsend. No one ever knew that this town would bring so much enjoyment to a big city girl like her.

It was nothing like what she has ever experienced before. Nor was it like anything that she ever expected. No one could prepare her for a life like this. NO ONE !

Standing before the sunrise, her mind wandered off to the first day she stepped foot into this town. There was no clear instructions from her editor except that ..

Those were the last words from her editor before she was shipped off onto the first bus out of town. Along with her was a bundle of notes; notes of the boy named Smallester. Yeah ! A pretty fancy name for an eleven year old boy. But he wasn't just any ordinary eleven year old boy.

Smallester wasn't born on earth, so to speak. There have been claims that he wasn't an earth boy. Many folks from this little town claimed that he was born from out of the system. The system as they known as outer space. However, after two whole months of searching for Smallester, she has yet to find him. No one knew where he was or perhaps no one trusted her enough to tell her.

She knew she had to try something different. Turning her back towards the sunrise, she headed to the wardrobe and took out her costume. It's time to take things to a whole different level. She couldn't go back to her editor empty handed. Failure is beyond acceptable in the publishing world nor was it in her dictionary.
