Facebook to tell if your data was shared with Cambridge Analytica

Facebook is going to notify all 87 million people users who had their personal data shared to the Cambridge Analytica.

The social media giant announced that it will keep watch on all the activities of third-party apps and notify users if their data gets abused. Also to promise and keep user data safe by cleaning out their Application Program Interface platform.

If you are among the affected user you will get a notification on top of your Facebook "News Feed" and if your account is un-effected you will get a security pop up instructing to update your privacy settings.

Among the 87 million data leaked in the Cambridge Analytica case, most of the profiles compromised are from the United States and their information were used in Donald Trump 2016 US Presidential campaign. While the rest are from the U.K., the Philippines and Indonesia.
