Lets face it...
We all have insecurities ranging from lower to a greater extent. And in the real world we often need to confront people with huge insecurity complexes. It is indeed not justifiable to waste our precious time and energy addressing those petty baseless feelings of worthlessness.
But when it comes to our boss, especially if he/she is an insecure one, the situation changes quickly. While it may not be our fault, it is our problem for sure.
How to tell if your boss is insecure?
Described below are the seven most usual traits that Insecure Bosses usually stick to:

  1. Never appreciates other's work especially verbally thinking that doing so will make him seem inferior or less valuable.
  2. Never likes to be held accountable for anything that went wrong, instead would like to blame the team.
  3. Never trusts his/her team instead will try to micromanage things.
  4. Escapes to their technical expertise as the last resort instead of focusing on leadership traits.
  5. Likes to develop working relationship with below par and unmotivated co-workers as they don't pose a direct threat.
  6. Fails to convey the goals and desired outcomes of a project, instead describes ambiguous and unrealistic objectives .
  7. Prefers confrontation on personal level when angry.

That will be all for today folks.
In Insecure Bosses: Part 2, I will discuss the best ways to deal with Insecure Bosses. All the do's and don'ts will be discussed in detail.

Most of your 7 points could have their sentences broken into two sentences. It's better to make two simple sentences than one complex sentence in this kind of writing. If you really want to keep each point to one sentence, you need to use a comma (,) or a semicolon (;) in the correct place. This is a challenging task at times.

These are the type of Bosses who always have very high attrition rate. I resigned from my previous because of my sad to say Insecured Boss, what she only saw were the minimal absenteeism/tardiness of my team and never commended my agents for their good performance. After I resigned most of my agent followed because of her attitude. Thank you for sharing this @xabi! :)
