Where does the money come from? What is money? How do we create it? How does it best function? Do we need a central government body to administer or coerce and force such points of mobility? Is not all life valuable? Is value a measurement on what you can give? Is our thinking glossed in profit at the expense and perpetuation of loss?

Reflections, Questions and Concerns about Universal Basic Income

  • Am I a Worker or Creators or is it Always Both?

  • How is money created? Is this the best way to continue?

  • Social Engineering. The "We" mentality versus the "I"mentality and the questions of regard here. Is it a service or a disservice to be focused on the lives of others? Is this a process of self-honesty...meaning that one must effectively focus on one-self alone? Is it a balance...No man is an Island?

  • Hyperinflation and it's Impact. How well is this understood? Can you explain inflation and hyperinflation? What issues can we see today that are the consequences of Hyperinflation and Inflation? Are there current benefits to the existence of Inflation and Hyperinflation?

  • Is Technology and Innovation stifled due to Inflation/Hyperinflation?

  • Venezuela as an example? Do Communist attitudes destroy work incentives?

  • The Future of DAO's. Decentralized Autonomous Organizations. Software is King. Make Everything Free? Is this the ultimate disruptive business model that incentivizes user participation? Can there be efficient and effective conditions/rules placed on "Free" or does that mitigate the overall practical usefulness of the "Make Everything Free" model?

  • Compensation and Reorganization. Is this the basis of Universal Basic Income? Meaning to compensate for Loss and to Reorganize the use and access to resources here?

  • "Giving" - The Fear that I won't get a proportionate amount or a surplus amount in return to the amount I am Giving. That "My Giving" is being "wasted" by others who take for granted such generosity. Is this a valid mentality - That most people will squander opportunity and resources? If you give freely, then those who receive will not "value" that which has been given freely? Is this thinking a way to justify non commitment and non-investment into People?

  • Does any form of "government" need to be involved in 'Universal Basic Income'? Does Government of any kind, need to be involved in "Money"?

  • Will You Work if You Don't Have to? Is there a general concern and worry that people will not work if they don't have to? Does this reflect the present day acceptance and allowances of humans collectively? The Rich don't do the community service work required, and the poor do too much community service work they aren't qualified to do? The Rich work on getting richer and the poor just want to stop working as the work they are doing isn't making them rich. Are the extremely rich concerned with losing hold of the vast majority of resources if the poor no longer wish to work for their companies...if superior company models are incentivized which empower the workers?

  • Abuse Prevention. Can effective and efficient incentivized systematic structures prevent and mitigate abuse?

  • Classifications of Human. Do we live in a time where it is necessary and or valid to classify and categorize types of Human? Could this serve a practical function to the world monetary system?

  • How am I most supportive in Living my Best Life?

Interesting Discussion on Universal Basic Income. Mostly problems and issues are brought to attention with what we have here today. I would like to see these type of discussions move into solution oriented practical ways of implementation.

  • It seems as though Creating new Direction is the most challenging process to date. Specifically, "New Direction that requires Instruction." This is perhaps the greatest challenge existent within humanity today because it pokes at our internal mind process of Learning and creating our best Instructions as points of Self-Direction and Expression.

This really makes you think. Without the basic income, crime goes up. With basic income creativity goes up. Where does the money come from?

thank you - i couldn't help but notice you thank me - but you did not give a vote of support on my post.

forgetfulness or bot system gamer - I am not sure...

sorry I forgot to give it. my position is still too small :)

everyone want the basic one but no one want to work what an irony haha

Is that really true?

People who has crap jobs dont want to work...

A lot of great questions which really delve to the central points of the UBI.

Many people are against it...wait until their or their loved ones lose their jobs to automation....which is coming.

basic income can never meet every need. Sometimes economies slow for whatever reason (economy, nature, war). This creates a downward effect on money creation. Eventually it turns into the haves and haves not at a certain period down the road. We can never keep up without taking in debt. I believe that stifles creativity. Just my own beliefs.

Generally speaking I like the Dollar Vigilante, but Jeff Berwick sure can be a dick sometimes.

Today as things stand I definitely DO NOT agree with UBI. I've seen first hand how social safety nets have dis incentivized other wise perfectly able bodied people not to work.

However I can see a time down the road in say 50-60 years where it might be necessary.

It seems like technology just expands exponentially. In my view wealth is created from energy and innovation. In the past, energy came from animals, slave labor, and now machines. What happens when energy is essentially free? Automation is already wiping out lower paying jobs, what do you do for people in a 100 yrs who don't have the skills/ intelligence to add to society?

I don't know the answer, but hopefully it doesn't look like this:
