This quote has severed people's successes with the way it's being spread around. People will tell you to keep at it, that your time will come... Ain't nothing coming fam! If at all anything like time comes, it's your time of death. If you try something and it's not working out, look for other viable options. Be persistent quite alright, but in all things, "get understanding".

Don't look at people's breakthroughs, your time will come

This has to be the most misleading phrase you can ever hear in your entire existence. People will tell you not to be bothered about your mates succeeding in life, yet these are things that should motivate you to put more efforts in your respective hustles. Your surroundings should motivate you and keep you abreast with reasonable happenings.

What matters
This is a tricky one, you will have to personally work on this yourself. On a general note, 80% of things you witness don't matter and you probably don't need them. But on the other hand, since your subconscious influences your choice of actions or decisions you make, you need to be watchful of what you feed it. Basically, a man's actions cannot be taken without his mind, and the mind feeds off his environment.
