The meme says it all. People suck! We have noticed as the years have passed that even people that we claim as friends have just slowly started to suck. The world today has changed so much that we often wonder if there is anyone out there that knows what it means to be a friend... A real friend. Growing up, we remember that people got together and actually hung out. Friends would meet up and talk about what life has thrown at them and accept suggestions on how to change something that went wrong. Today people really do not get together anymore and when they do it is only on their phones texting or checking Facebook. Conversations about anything significant have become superficial. Whatever you do, DO NOT make a suggestion to someone about anything that is going on with them. People get so offended if you say anything less than they are amazing and have a wonderful life.

We DO realize that the world has changed and also know very well that people change. When did people give up interacting with others that they claim are their friends? Fact, just because someone is on your friends list on social media does not make them your friend. Last time we checked, a friend is someone that you know... someone that has heard your voice and seen your face (a real friend has seen you at your worst). Speaking of friends list, why would you want to send a message to someone over social media about some meme that they posted when you have someone in front of you that you claim is your dear friend? That is not only rude but disrespectful. IT IS NOT OK PEOPLE. Are these things just in the US or is this all over? Seriously we really want to know. To all the international people that view this, do people in your part of the world suck like ours do?

Have you noticed that people just suck? Have you went to go hang out with friends and they stay in their phone the entire time? Why do you think this has happened? Did you notice if it happened progressively over time or was it just something that occurred all at once? We would love to hear your thoughts, comments and/or concerns below. As always, Thank You for reading this article and if you would like to see more of our work visit our steemit page @truthbeyondlies or visit us directly at T.B.L.

I am of the opinion, that in Truth the situation we find ourselves today has, all been manipulated and orchestrated, from day one.

There is nothing natural about how we got to this point. Social media like fakebook, and those numerous other apps and games particularly of the mobile variety, have one thing in common. They all play the role of the drug pimp. Rather than serving Johns. Our information along with our availability to be unwitting participants, of every manner of psychological and other testings, gets served to whoever will pay. All the while we get a heavy dose of propaganda, fake news, and mind control.

"Why would you keep going back to the pimp?" One might ask.

The answer is simple, we are hooked. We didn't even know that we were taking the drugs. They use tax payer funded, big bro perfected, psychological and physiological ways to trigger your brain to release dopamine. They then just slow down the drip, more and more. If we start to walk away they turn it back up. People are feigns, because they don't even know that they are chasing that next high.

Don't hate me, I'mjustsaying

No hate at all... Love your comment! You are right. Social Media is like a drug and the platforms that draw people in over and over are the drug dealers.

first you are most wellcome too. your remark is 100 % right. realy chenged the arth and chenged human. everybody are selfish nowadays.

Muy buen post @truthbeyondlies, hoy en día muy poco se valora esos momentos, ya que, las redes sociales nos absorbe y es cuando se hace presente la mala educación (falta de valores)

Right, very few do value the their time with family and friends.

I have to agree.. Ever since the rise of social media this world.. the people in it have become disconnected from the very thing that makes us "who we are" We do not interact with one another anymore. A couple can be at the same dinner table yet hey might as well be miles apart. There are good aspects of social media but this is definitely one of the bad ones! Ty

hello friend, you're absolutely right, social networks are very good like msj, but we do not socialize or share with friends and even with family. we get to the point that even at the table during lunch we have time in our hands ... I am one and I am changing that because time with family and friends is sacred, hahaha, I like your publication as always. greetings with success

Love your comment. You are very right, time with family and friends is sacred and we should value it more.

Whether we like to admit it or not, social media, in all its forms, has taken a toll on our relationships—particularly our friendships. Gradually, it seems social media has altered the DNA of friendship, and frankly, it makes me sad. In looking back at failed attempts to win friends (and keep them) over the past year. Social media misleads us to believe that we have a large, built-in support system. But that support system is merely a number, not real life.

Yes it has taken it's toll on our relationships. Marriages have ended over social media. We understand that for some social media has been a great way to stay in touch with long distance loved ones, but it has replace the personal interactions that people use to have. It has given a lot of people a false sense of love and that is very scary.

This explanation is from my point of view sir. Due to this social media I have been in relationship with my girlfriend for 4 years- long distance. We share love and care through this. I make true utilization of these social medias. I give my little of leisure time on this. For other it has proved to be a curse. And it can be seen that mostly teens of young age are the victims. Rather than spending time with family, they always seem to look at phone. This is what I don't like most reducing family closeness🙂

Thank you, that does make a big difference. Even we ourselves (we are a man and woman team btw ^ ^) Met online going on 19 years ago so we can understand exactly where you are coming from. In your case social media is a great thing and I like how you also brought up the problem with people always being locked into their phones.

yyaa when we made a plan to get together then my all friends are busy checking their post message after all they can do that when they are alone are they are in home.
i just hate this social sites are making our life more convenient but people are engaging on it every time. People are enjoying their virtual life instead of real world .

Exactly! I can't tell you when this all started but I can say that it has been getting worse and worse over the last couple of years.... It is like people are becoming more disassociated amongst each other in todays society or there is a mass disconnection going on where they cannot establish and balance the difference between a social-networking life and a real one

have you seen one video
here is the link check it out
