RE: Is it just us or do people SUCK nowadays!? (Rant-Discussion)

Whether we like to admit it or not, social media, in all its forms, has taken a toll on our relationships—particularly our friendships. Gradually, it seems social media has altered the DNA of friendship, and frankly, it makes me sad. In looking back at failed attempts to win friends (and keep them) over the past year. Social media misleads us to believe that we have a large, built-in support system. But that support system is merely a number, not real life.

Yes it has taken it's toll on our relationships. Marriages have ended over social media. We understand that for some social media has been a great way to stay in touch with long distance loved ones, but it has replace the personal interactions that people use to have. It has given a lot of people a false sense of love and that is very scary.

This explanation is from my point of view sir. Due to this social media I have been in relationship with my girlfriend for 4 years- long distance. We share love and care through this. I make true utilization of these social medias. I give my little of leisure time on this. For other it has proved to be a curse. And it can be seen that mostly teens of young age are the victims. Rather than spending time with family, they always seem to look at phone. This is what I don't like most reducing family closeness🙂

Thank you, that does make a big difference. Even we ourselves (we are a man and woman team btw ^ ^) Met online going on 19 years ago so we can understand exactly where you are coming from. In your case social media is a great thing and I like how you also brought up the problem with people always being locked into their phones.
