Good for you, you're teaching your children real independence. Not only is it good for the environment, but being able to fend for yourself and not rely on others to live surely has to be the biggest lesson. All that space and surrounding Nature, sound ideal. Good luck with it and keep us posted :)
That is the idea. Teach them independence as they will be much better in life. If all parents nowadays would teach children independence it would be so much better. Love sitting outside at night and not hearing all the traffic noises and such.
